Milkman should be deleted, since the only release by the band is a ~18 minutes compilation.

Now, the band two demos in the 90's/early 00's, those were physical demos, but there's no information about the format, so I think it should be removed. (http://grindcorekaraoke.com/album/whole ... kman-demos)

Deleted Cryptodira (USA) with a nod from Azmodes. Some variety of progressive/post non-metal on all four releases.

Deleted Gendo Ikari. Short release (seven minutes) that won't see a physical version until December.

There was a recent "wrong-genre" report for Excidio, which was added back on 2008.
I think it should be removed, as it seems like a mixture of grindcore/mallcore/jazz, and it's mostly non-metal: Bandcamp

Edit: the first demo songs can be listened here: Soundcloud
"Genocidio" is a clear example of the alternative metal / grindcore fusion.

Deleted Deathsvn. No new material under that name released yet.

Yeah, not impressed by this. "Thrash Metal", hah. I'll delete it.

Hello guys.

I tried submited my band Incongruous ( Mexico ), and was rejected. I have evidence as you ask for, so you can check Bandcamp, Soundcloud or Facebook pages, in the past I played with bands like Zotz (7620), Hellracer (87785), Into Sickness (3540303773), Baal (11473) and Deadblood (78330) if this information could be useful and enough.
I delete my draft at the moment.

Check it out : https://www.facebook.com/IncongruousDeathDoom/ https://incongruous.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/incongruous-783875094

Actually I'm working in artwork and other stuff.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards.

Why is Devil Doll from Slovenia/Italy accepted?

It's mentioned in the additional notes:

Included as a selected exception.

That wording is a bit awkward. Consider it to be a similar inclusion to Autumn Tears and Dark Sanctuary, though not related to the metal scene, simply influential. Admittedly, an arbitrary exception, but as with the few that remain from 2002, we'll keep them here. I'll need to give some reconsideration to rewording that awkward genre listing, though.

Trivia: Kris Norris has a tattoo of the handwritten score to Devil Doll's Dies Irae tattooed on his arm.

Deletified CS.Í.T., predominantly melodic hard rock/folk.

By Any Means. Their four song EP can be heard here: CDBaby
Their music is mainly alt-rock, with some mallcore riffing.

I'm here to make a request to remove (or at least question) why Murder Within Sin is on here
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Mur ... 3540277909

These guys are not metal, they are a beatdown hardcore band. I made a report to remove them but i was told to take it here. I think it was a complete huge error that they're on here because

1) these guys were accepted in 2009 (long before beatdown was as relatively recognized as it is now)
2) they are submitted as "metalcore/groove metal", a mod probably mistook their playing style at metal because of this when it's really just beatdown

Here's some sources (these guys are clearly a hardcore band, why are they here?)
1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmsZ3eP8HFw
2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeVDQOK_VDY

TK-421 is alternative rock in the Godsmack/Disturbed style.
All their songs can be listened here: http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/Tk421

Enemy Star sounds like alt-rock/metal with mallcore moments. Somehow it reminds me of Evanescence.
Their only album can be listened here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/enemystar

The Third Collision sounds like a mix of Kittie/Groove Metal/Gothemburg DM.
I perceive some Nü Metal riffing too (check the mid-section of "The End Of Time" and "A Strange World").
If kept, I think the genre may be re-written to "Melodic Death/Groove Metal"

Their only demo can be heard here.
Couldn't find any evidence of physical copies of it.

Облачный Край.
Most of the albums are low-fi hard/blues/speech rock and not even close to metal. Two latest albums feature some distorted guitars but no real metal riffs (maybe a few).
All albums available at VK for listening - https://vk.com/audios-5334789?album_id=29227497
If VK doesn't work for you, I can upload all of them.

I think it's okay to post it here, and looks like I overlooked the 1990 album, it has some metal but still sounds more rock.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3.

Project Punishment sounds like metallic hardcore (think on Biohazard and such) and not Thrash/Groove Metal like it's listed.
Their Myspace has been removed, but I managed to find a song of them in YouTube here where the lineup is listed on the description.
URL of their myspace goes by "lv hardcore project punishment" (so I think it goes in line with my thoughts...)

Their website is archived, and plays the same song of the YouTube video on the background.

This is riffy enough. Ridiculous genre, though, changed.

The Cascades
Listed as Gothic Metal. Gothic Rock///////Metal would be a better tag.
Never heard of the band before. Just added an album line-up. They don't sound like they belong here. There's quite a few tracks on YouTube. Corrosive Mind Cage has the most riffs, but still, they're sparse and scarce.

From Corrosive Mind Cage: Page one, Avalon, Hexeneinmaleins

Positively Negative seems to be more on the alternative metal/mallcore side than real metal.
Flames, Vanity, audio from 1997. (It would be nice to have more songs to listen, but it's all that I've found so far...)

Godsmack meets Machine Head :-P ?

EDIT: It's described as...
"Heavy Metal, Hard-core/Industrial" on an Unofficial site
"Hardcore/New American Hardcore" on Last.fm

I'm still in the process of evaluating that one, doesn't seem straightforward.

Malakai is a nü-metal band (the heavier edge)
At least, it's clear to me judging by their latest album, Cleanse the Destroyers

Just listen to the title track or Stonecaster.
A fair comparison can be done with Mushroomhead (without the industrial elements). I hear tons of early Slipknot in their 2011 album Monday.
There are metal riffs & rhythms sporadically (mainly groove, unlike "death metal" as incorrectly listed), but the core of the music is alternative. (this)

Free Fall

Listened to all the samples here. Not even a trace of heavyness.
Alternative rock with gothic influences. Mostly soft music.

Not metal, there's some buzzing in track 3 and at the end of track 6, but it doesn't really approach metal.

Over My Grave is another Gothic Rock/Alt Metal hybrid rather than a real gothic metal band.
There are borderline moments, but it's mostly metallic-sounding guitars over a goth-rock structure and gutural vocals thrown in.

All the songs of their only full album can be listened here, on this playlist
