This doesn't really sound metal to me, more like progressive rock with some metal influences:

While I like Deadsoul Tribe, I think they're as metal as Tool, and not a side-project: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=6680

Just wondering out of curiosity, is "Devin Townsend Project" on the metal-archives because of it being considered a side project of Devin Townsend? (who has metal albums/releases)

He is going to release "Deconstruction" anyway, which apparently will be extreme metal-oriented - meaning that "Devin Townsend Project" would have been added sooner or later anyway.

If you (moderator) feel this post is out of place, feel free to move/delete.

http://www.myspace.com/kasakit Sounds like it's pretty nu metal to me. Certainly not death/thrash metal.

Look at the "label" field.

Why was Coprobaptized Cunthunter accepted? I submit it and it was rejected for their similarity to Last Days of Humanity.

Doesn't sound metal to me either.

Mods do not share the same view. This is the problem with borderline bands, a same band can be accepted or rejected depending on the mod reviewing the band. Unfair maybe, but the best is to stick with genuine metal bands. You'll have no problem with these.

I included in my submission of the band that I was submitting them based on their new full-length which contains a lot more groovy brutal death type riffs than their split. Here is a link for re-evaluation:

Maybe PROBLEM is not "bordeline" bands but Mods? I think not all of them are too competent because I had the same problem with some bands.

Incompetence? We are no synchronised computers or robots. Stop acting silly and watch your tongue - be more humble.

No, the fact is that you keep submitting borderline bands. You are certainly NOT the one in the position to argue. This is the metal archives not the rock archives.
Anyway, if that band got accepted later on, you should be happy. But, oh nooooo, my name will not appear on the band page! :nono:

Still not enough death metal in it.

Im fine with everything. My nickname Sleazer777 is shit and does not mean nothing for me or anothers. You say it's Metal-Archives But the problem IS that when I submited band under STONER/DOOM genre tag(It got rejected) latter this got accepted under DOOM METAL tag so you mean that I mean? Yes I submited few bordeline bands but newer cry if the're rejected.Just as 39 years old metalhead I have a bit different view on Metal in general and it's just private thing.Thanks.No more moaning in the forum. Thanks and keep the good job here.

ok, no problem. just thought i would give them another shot at submission because that CD is much more metallic than the split was.

Samhain (Aut)
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=17159

Samhayn
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=64196

Just a letter switch on the name. I think they should be merged.

Or , and the best option, a change in name of Samhain (Aut) to Immortal Death (Aut), sinse the 1st demo was with that name.

Nothing changed. The user must have submitted some more convincing proof than "the band told me that...".

I know this is kind of off-topic for this thread but I think it would slightly simply things if Norwegian KIN and Australian K.I.N. were both listed as KIN (Nor) and KIN (Aus) respectively. Neither one of their logos contain periods in between the letters and quite possibly this is what confused the misguided soul that added the second entry for the Australian band.

I'd just like to say that this band (http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=29851 ) violates the terms when it comes to releases. It only existed for a short while and never recorded anything but the listed demo. However, the demo in question was never released. Actually- the original copy was thrown away. My source is former my own former membership.
I use this place daily and I get sick and tired of all these crappy bedroom bands violating the terms and making this whole site untidy in the process, and I don't want this crap to be part of the cancer.

The only solution is to report every violation in this thread. It will be taken care of and every contribution to cleansing the Archives is needed and appreciated.

Not knowing what section is the right for my question, I decided to use this thread in the end.
See this profile, I can see nothing but a logo and I wonder why. Is there anything wrong with my computer or can you see the same?

The page is perfectly normal and this thread is not for such questions, so please do not use it the next time.

A new thread, even for a seemingly trivial question, would have been more appropriate.
