I wouldn't doubt that. Do you have the Volkssturmgewehr tape? I've never been able to find samples for it. However:

Panzerterror SS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqN5LT0dH0Y

Not sure if it's a bad rip as it seems bass heavy, but there might be riffs in the first track. Second track isn't metal. Not sure if this is enough to save it.

I have the tape. It's not metal. It's distorted bad quality punk with one or two "metal" riffs.

Any chance that you could provide a tape rip?

Volkssturmgewehr is gone. It's just noise, and even that might be giving it too much credit.

Regarding the lovely Pogromnacht, the 2002 and 2004 demos are noise, noise, noise, but what about that full-length and the split with Blackmoon Warrior 88?

ok, deleted. If the full-length or any of the other releases ever show up, they can be re-evaluated.

So the demo should be changed to a split? Do you know the full tracklist? Are you sure the ET tracks weren't released separately at some point? The notes say "Was available for purchase during 2007 at shows." Music sounds okay.

This link below is their biography, but all in Thai.
http://headbangkok.com/head-of-the-mont ... ic-toilet/

If I'm got it right, it isn't a split, just a compilation released by that label. Scroll down to paragraph 3 you will see this sentence, just a head of the paragraph "จนกระทั่งปี พ.ศ. 2549 ทางวงได้ออก compilation อีกหนึ่งชุดชื่อว่า The Roar of Cerberus." translate to English is "In year 2006 (Actually, 2007 is correct) the band released the compilation titled The Roar of Cerberus." And I don't see any mention that the band release a demo separately.

This is a Youtube list by the label itself of the compilation.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGXVC0H ... 826CB67076

Full tracklist, according to that Youtube list.
Eccentric Toilet
1. Unheaven
2. Good Thing Before I Die
3. It's Too Late
Cadaver Not Talk
4. Fear Fulness Teacher From Gabage City
5. My Piss Is Folling Down
6. Sorry Dude I'm Wrong Call
Enemy
7. Crean Human
8. Suffering Earth
9. นิพพาน

The compilation is on iTunes, with a slightly different tracklist. It would technically qualify as a "split", but for a digital release, I wouldn't call it enough. I'm still not convinced that the demo version didn't exist physically, however. If it weren't for the note about it being sold at live shows, I'd say it was probably added based on Myspace tracks. But the note is pretty unambiguous...

EDIT: There is another split on iTunes, with different tracks. This should do. Let's keep the demo entry, though.

Do you know when and how these comps were originally released? Might be they were only uploaded to iTunes for download in 2012.

I am still believe they were release in physical format before up on iTunes for download, but sorry, I can't tell exactly when and how these comps were originally released. On description of that Youtube list, you will see the phrase "ผลิตเพียง 300 แผ่น" which mean "limited to 300 copies."

Why is this on the archives?
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Mag ... 3540392234

It's old folk songs that's been recorded with what sounds like a plastic toy keyboard with bedroom black metal vocals on top.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbPfNt1Nebk
I ain't hearing no metal riffs.

Granted, it doesn't sound very good, but there are metal riffs on a few other songs.

Still not sure it belongs, as these are all reworkings of previously released songs, so I'll bring it up in the mods discussion.

Looks like it was accepted as a metal band. If that's incorrect, let us know. It's a todesengel89 submission, so that possibility is likely.

Alright, while I absolutely loved their full-length in high school and would hate to see them go, I have to wonder if Once Nothing truly belongs here. It's very clearly metalcore, but it seems to walk the line between acceptable and not.

Judging by their acceptance date, they were likely picked based off their 2008 full-length, First Came the Law, which can be found in its entirety in this playlist.

Other releases I could find:

And the Blood of the Wicked Shall Flow like a River (2003):
Track 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_oJ09e4j7A
Track 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejXFCLqwr90
Track 3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp_UnKKbR2s

A Reckoning (2005):

Track 3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtGtTBRp65k
Track 4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdiTaGY-j84

Voices of the Paragon (2006):

Earthmover (2007):

@Once Nothing: I knew they seemed somehow familiar. Back in 2014, I evaluated these guys as part of my trek through every single todesengel_hell addition with a suspicious genre tag (still technically ongoing...). Checking the old post, I came to the conclusion that at least First Came the Law might be fine, but I marked it as a yellow priority, i.e. in need of further input. derigin was leaning yes then.

Just my semi-useful two cents.

It says in the description that they have a demo released in 2001, but there is actually nothing listed in the discography tab.

That's not uncommon for older bands. That just means that there is some sort of proof that the submitters can show the mods but can't give enough information to enter (like a scanned page from a zine mentioning a demo, but no tracklist provided).

If the band has at least one valid metal release and original material, yes. These things do not matter.

The fact that it's a parody band can be mentioned in the notes.

Deleted T.O.M.B..

The only release that comes close to metal in their discography is Macabre Noise Royale, which is barely only 45% metal in itself - and certainly not enough to redeem the band as a metal one, considering the remainder of their work.

These guys should be kept on the back burner somewhere. Their only added release, Promo 1995, was in fact just a shortened re-release of a release they made under their previous name. Their additional notes say that other demos exist under their second name, but I'm not buying it. Most web results are about a French avant garde jazz band, but I'll post back here if I come across something.

Hello everyone!

I got a question about this band: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Onc ... 3540403645

I'm having a hard time understanding why this band was accepted here as it is clearly a core band, listen to the songs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C0bFpa ... e=youtu.be
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_DYANVkrHQ

And then again if this band is allowed, then why is this band blacklisted:
https://kripl.bandcamp.com/

Thank you!

I thought it was acceptable then and I still think so now, going through the EP stream on YouTube. It is a deathcore band, but the death metal seems prevalent.

We don't directly compare bands when it comes to in- or exclusions. If you think they were wrongly blacklisted, use the other thread.

Any progress on the conversation on the future of the side-project rule? Just realised that Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))) is in more non-metal side-projects that are on the site than in actual metal bands. And keeps forming more.

We're a lot tougher on side projects than we were a few years ago (it went from accepting nothing because of the brick and mortar distribution rule to accepting basically anything with a prominent member in it, and now almost anything that gets submitted gets brought up and discussed in the mod forum), but I think O'Malley is just kind of a weird aberration, personally.
