Deleted Bitch. Definitely much more hard rock than metal (if metal at all...), thanks aeternus.

I was wondering about the recently added Jack the Frost. The band's new EP was released on digitally through their label. Would that still count as a valid release?

It was approved by Azmodes, I think he knows what's he doing (he's an handsome Austrian god after all). It's a 20+ minutes EP released on Itunes and as written in the rules, it's an acceptable release. Please refer to them before asking questions.

Deleted Hexvessel. It's obviously not metal and after some discussion it was decided that it's a rather random, unjustified exception.

Deleted Onset of Serious Problems. Thrashcore, as in "hardcore punk on speed".

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Angel_Dust/111373

Angel Dust, an italian heavy metal band presumably existed in some time. No informations about them on the web. Just a website unofficially listing them as a band who released a demo. What, when and how it's unknown. Members not listed.
I highly doubt their existence and I think they should be removed from here.

Bakom from Sweden, should be removed (http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bakom/46041)

Why? Because this band is obviously a joke. Bakom means something like "retarded" in Swedish and the name of their songs are equally senseless. They also are said to be from basically the most remote place in the whole country (http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bakom/46041) where I doubt any band ever originated from. Also, there is no info on them whatsoever anywhere else.

Deleted, that demo was a glaringly obvious Myspace release. Didn't really sound like metal either.

The Unguided http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/The ... 3540325571

Listed as Melodic Death Metal but is completely false. It leans more toward hardcore than metal. It's simply metalcore layered with cheesy synths

Gabber/Breakcore/Noise project. I can't understand why is here. If so we should accept Bong-Ra and ATR as well.
The only "metal" thing this guy did is a cover album of various metal artists https://archive.org/details/DTRASH45-Sc ... redInMetal and I'm still arguing if this is 100% metal 'cause is more close to edgy electro-distorted hardcore like Shizit or Rabbit Junk than metal.
The rest of his discography is just techno hardcore/speedcore/gabber/breakcore stuff.
What to do?

This band http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Par ... tion/47225 should be nuked

Correct name is http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Par ... 3540288199

I already added the 1993 demo here (same song titles appearing on the split)

Would someone be interested in re-evaluating Nicole? I've listened to some songs, one from their first albums, one from the most recent and one from somewhere in between. I didn't hear much metal riffing in any of those songs, just hardcore and metalcore.

Husere Grav

Unless this act has recorded material that is unlike everything of theirs that I've heard, this is not an "experimental black metal" band but a drone/dark ambient/noise act using little or no traditional instrumentation at all. They occasionally veer in a vaguely black metal-ish direction, but on the 8 or so tapes & records I've heard that occurs maybe a handful of times.

Do they actually have a release that would be considered "metal enough" for inclusion all the way through, or did the or original submitter simply cherry pick a few tracks from various releases?

I haven't yet listened to anything else, but the debut "Stay Asleep" sounds like simplistic black metal with 2-3 ambient tracks to me. Genre could use an update, though.

How was Polyphia accepted? http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Polyphia/3540377266 Their sound is pretty much the same as Intervals, I love both bands but they are obviously in the djenty not metal side of progressive music.

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Byron/3540302360

it's not a real band

Hello,

Thine should be evaluated again since the Demo "journeys" is a hell of epic metal release, check here the tracks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIZrwpMW350, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JVq8IgifUw . a town like this album is a more rock prog influence but we can listen to some metal in it, as for in therapy is not must of a metal album i agree. but just for that amazing demo they made, they deserve to be in metal-archives. in my opinion of course ehehe.

cheers and sorry for the crappy english

Sounds like metalcore/deathcore to me, there's a fair amount of hardcore but I'd say it's predominantly metal riffs. Lots of string skipping metalcore stuff and some death metal tremolo riffs/blast beats. It's certainly metalcore, but the breakdowns/hardcore grooves are strongly outnumbered by metalcore/death metal-lite riffs, other than the song "AM" which is a brodownfest.

Sounds metal to me. But the band was called Blood of Thine at the time of demo, or something? If that's the case I'm for adding the demo version of the band again, but leaving out the Thine years (well, of course with a note in the add. notes).
