It says that the demo the band was being submitted with wasn't a valid digital release and that it was blacklisted because of repeated submission.

I submitted the symphonic metal band "Mute Prophet," and it was rejected as "not a metal band." I was told I could object to the rejection on this thread. Did I misunderstand? I assumed that since I saw Nightwish and Epica on here, symphonic metal would be a fair submission.

^ That was the djent-Evanescence/Nightwish wannabe that sounded like half of it was made in Guitar Pro. Definitely not power metal like early Nightwish or Epica. Not a metal band.

Can someone explain to me exactly makes it metalcore and not metal? I don't usually hear guitar solos in metalcore, and I don't usually hear power chords in djent. And you're right, I don't hear much power metal in their music, but to me it sounds a lot like more modern Epica (Quantum Enigma/Holographic Principle era), when the riffs got more complex. Or like the new Delain albums, with the punchier rhythms. As for the guitar pro thing...I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean.

Fair enough. I honestly couldn't name a Metalcore band if you asked me to, but what little I've heard didn't make me think solos were accepted. I'd still like some clarification on the other points I made, if possible. I'm genuinely not trying to be argumentative, I just can't really understand what's "not metal" about this band.

First release was admittedly harsh on the recording and denied due to it being too noisy then metal.
Since the initial request to add back in 2015 - we have had another cassette release and a new 7" release.

Currently when adding these releases to the Metal Archives, I am getting the following message:
Sorry, this band has been blacklisted by the moderation and can no longer be submitted.

Just posting on here, to see if this can be lifted -
This is an active band, and has played live with active members that run a label and black metal fest.

I can't submit any band called Deathwish from the USA because there is a deathcore band of the same name.

Becasue the only album released, "The Poe Sessions", was a rerelease. It was originally released as the band "Tremor". So that new name has no releases yet.

Hey just wanted to make a post and ask about a re evaluation of Kastration (Canada).
Was rejected as being non metallic noise, but they are very much a Death/Grind/Experimental band, borderline joke band but still alot of serious shit too.

I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I would like to ask the mods to reconsider the band Warm from the US. I'd say it's "metal enough" because they a strong "sludge/post-metal" sound, but of course that's just my opinion.
