Object to the rejection of the following Band request:
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Serpent/3540349285

Quote:
This band has been rejected by the moderators for the following reason:

"Is the album available yet? Last FB post about it says pre-order."

Answer:
Yes. I'm the singer and I waited to add Serpent until the tape is released, 'cause the rules says this! ;-)
The tape was released on 07/17/2012, as it said.

Heu, not you... I was talking to murderson. The band is blacklisted, argue with Azmodes if you feel like it.

Rejection of this band:
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Blutmond/3540349289
"That wasn't what I meant. I meant the original one with the CD visible, not the cover you probably took from the review.

There's no info on the Internet apart from that one review, so I'd like to have a bit more info about the band, seeing as they apparently released four albums, among them two full-lengths."

My reply: first of all, I did not take the picture from the review. I took the picture in Denmark and "designed" the cover back in 1999, as this was my project back in those days. If needed, I can try to take another photo of the "original disc", no problem, although I can tell you, that the quality/visibility might be better this way (the cover of the one and only copy I still own is quite dark, so you cannot see all details).

I have to confess, that I don't know how to "prove" that I made this music - there was a review ("Wanderer des Schwarzpfades") in german Ablaze magazine number 24 from november/december 1998. We (me and a friend of mine) released our stuff on our diy-label Feretrum in very(!) small quantities (Eispalast is already listed on this side, but there were some other projects, too). A few discs (and tapes) were sold here and there - but as all of this happened before everything and everyone went online, you won't find anything besides that one review on the net, sorry.

Best regards,
K Kenobi

Okay, resubmit, K Kenobi. Just wanted to get a better picture of the band (no pun intended).

I submitted the band Türbokrieg earlier, and it was rejected by Azmodes with the request to "Please provide some song samples."

I do not currently have a method to rip the tracks from the vinyl that I own, but there are live performances on YouTube of the band so the metalness can be demonstrated. I hope this is okay. All members are only known to have been in previous metal bands, and regularly perform with other metal bands.

Here are the links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S0MHIjmZn8

Is it okay to re-submit now?

Is this metal enough to let Broken Bones on the archives? I've seen it talked about before but I never saw a definite answer because these 2 albums were are hard to find but they're on youtube now.

Seems to have quite a history here, but I've taken them off the blacklist. This is clearly acceptable crossover.

Can Absolace from UAE be unblacklisted? They announced that a CD was available at a show. They seem to be more metal than rock.

Hello. A band I submitted (Shell Shock from New Orleans) got rejected for the following reason:

"While the music may arguably be metal enough, the album in which the music is leaning metal is also the one which is unreleased. In order to be acceptable, the band would have had to have released the album. Sorry man."

While it's true that their most straight Thrash metal material never got released, I think their Crossover 1988 album "More Gore" is metal enough to justify their inclussion in the archives.
If it's not too much hassle I'd appreciate a second opinion on this, since I think it'd be a good addition to the site due to the interesting fact that the 3 remaining members of the band, after the suicide of the founding member, went on to form The Slugs which later became Crowbar.

Here's the More Gore album to check out: http://paranoizenola.com/thewayitwas/sh ... egore.html

Thanks.

Last album called Oort is post/doom metal. And the next one will be funeral doom with collaboration the band Dreams After Death (split).
Should you check the Oort?

Is it possible to avoid the black list anyway?
Sorry for my crap English skill... :-S

I listened to the "More Gore" album, and it is not metal-enough in terms of its thrash sound to be acceptable based on that alone. Sorry.

Besides, we don't accept bands because of their "novel" value related to the later careers of their musicians. Shell Shock is one of those bands where you can see the transition for its members towards a metal sound, but they're just not there yet within this band's released material itself, unfortunately.

The blacklist note says parts of Űrkert were black/doom metal, but still not enough, so if the next album "Oort" is similarly borderline, it'll need a full, proper review before we can make a decision.

Once a band is blacklisted for not being metal, it takes something that's very obviously, clearly, fully metallic in order to get them off. A split release generally won't be enough either.

Ok, thx, I see...
But the Oort is not the upcoming album but the last. Its already completed, and its released.

Hello!
I want to object the rejection of the following band:
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bla ... 3540349211

The reason of rejection was:
Quote:
the music might be acceptable for the site, but there is no evidence of a physical release.

And here are the evidence of the physical release.
http://tinypic.com/r/qxqf0o/6

Also I have a mediafire link to download this album, but I don't know if is forbidden to post it.
So... Is it okay to re-submit this band?

You've blacklisted a band called Oncixo because it isn't metal. It's a side-project of Ovskum (Ovskum, Ovskum/Mørke, ex-Valak), and also Mørke (a friend of Ovskum) in an interview said that Oncixo is a side-project, so i think it can be accepted..

Apart from the non-metal thing, the blacklist note also says "doesn't qualify as a side-project", so it would appear that angle has already been considered.

Hi, I want to know about a band called "Koil". The problem is the music genre. Actually, this band was rejected since around end of 2011 because it's Industrial Rock. And I see it's not blacklisted.

Some of my friends in real life said Koil play Industrial Heavy Metal, and the another said Industrial Rock. And also the website said it's Industrial Heavy Metal/or just Metal, and the another website said Industrial Rock.

Maybe you can download/listen to all albums, may I post all the links?

I submitted this band http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Cog ... 3540341415 and waited till the actual date of their first physical release but someone submitted the band about an hour before the release date late last night. I've read the rules over and over and it states: "Even if the release comes out tomorrow, the band will not be accepted until then."

My submission was rejected because someone else submitted it on the band queue, but their submission was before the actual release date.
I was just trying to follow the rules, I mean I could of submitted them last week or so I've had the CD in my possession for almost two weeks,
I was able to get an advanced copy from one of the band members, but I wanted to wait to actual release date to submit because that's what the rules state.

I assume that this is how to do this, that is, report an error regarding the blacklisting of this band called I Built The Cross. They are a Technical/Brutal Death Metal band, with an album and an EP that have been physically released - on Open Grave Records (see http://www.amazon.com/Bridging-Gap-Betw ... +The+Cross and http://ibuiltthecross.bigcartel.com/pro ... album-only ). Their Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/ibuiltthecross. So, just wanted to point out this problem.

"I Built The Cross" is unacceptable deathcore, sorry.

By the way, it is not a "problem" when a band is blacklisted. Bands are blacklisted for a reason.

have a team of Sixth Rage (play melodic death metal) from Russia (Obninsk, Kaluga region)
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Six ... 3540349363
released an album in 2012 Wrath of the Gods, but only in digital format, No physical media (CD), so the team can not find a record label to issue the album.
I accidentally wrote the label's recording studio instead of the Tyrant Studios, which was written on the album.
as a result of:
Why not let the team?

Sorry, a band needs at least one release out on a physical medium in order to get approved.

Hey my band Hokus Tokus got denied because we're not metal apparently. Sure we're heavy on the experimental psychedelic, but that doesn't mean that there isn't metal aspects to it. Take our song TombSTONED for example, its pretty stoner metal.

So i was just wondering if we could be reconsidered to be on this site. Thanks anyways dudes

Hi, I wrote here because you have rejected my band 5 times, due to several ridiculous reasons...and the last reason is that "it isn't metal"...so, I think that Black Metal is Metal.

anyway off topic, Mortiis is Metal?..he never does metal, apart from Emperor...

hope, it will work...

cheers!!!

Was Sonic Surge released on a physical release? This song is pretty metal, is it the only song on the demo?

Hi I submitted the band Kaosmos and was rejected because they haven't a physical release out, but the proof of it is on their facebook fan page : https://www.facebook.com/KaosmosOfficialFanPage
