Why was attack attack rejected they are so br00tal? I mean those crushing breakdowns, followed by the clean chorus in smokahontas, and those electro parts oh my god like so br00tal. I mean they make thrash metal bands look soft I mean just look at them.

You're probably trolling, but I'll bite anyway: We don't care how "br00tal" a band is, only whether it has metal riffs or not.

So again about Atomikylä (Finland) (side-project by members of Dark Buddha Rising and Oranssi Pazuzu).

You asked me about the second release - and now it's available on Bandcamp:
https://atomikyla.bandcamp.com/album/ker-ily

So it's tagged as "psychedelic metal" (band's members are playing Psychedelic Doom Metal and Psychedelic Black Metal in Dark Buddha Rising and Oranssi Pazuzu respectively) - so Atomikylä combines pychedelic stoner doom metal with heavy psych rock (all songs have long enough psych rock intros) and even black metal - and they definitely have metal riffs.

Plus again here are (I already posted them) examples that the band is metal enough:

Fragment from their performance on recent Roadburn festival:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-U1V_6BxeA

Track from their previous album - pure stoner doom metal:
https://soundcloud.com/future-lunch/ihmiskallo

Another track - beginning as a psychedelic rock it turns into psych black metal (around 3:40) and then turns to psych stoner metal (5:26):
https://soundcloud.com/future-lunch/ato ... usta-kulta

Please check them out, guys.
Thank you!

The first track is some kind of heavy noise/psych/avant-garde with a few sludge/doom metal touches, second one more weird psych stuff with no metal at all, third one like the first with somewhat more pronounced metal elements in the second half. No black metal anywhere. All in all, this is not a predominantly metal record and accordingly the blacklisting will stay in place.

Hi,

in the blacklisted of Drang from Germany has been considered the album Ad Astra?

What about this band? Would this Hellhammer guitar/Denali Fiend-drumming be accepted?

No, but this is loaded with ambient/classical stuff. Close, I guess.

Blacklist says it's more hard rock/new wave than metal, but that's probably another band. Isn't this one hardcore punk, though? Seems familiar and it does sound like that too, although I can see what you mean.

Okay, so sad, but thanks for your answer!
Will wait for when they'll release something even more metal-oriented :)

Also self-described as "an experimental ambient music project with classical and metal influences", which seems accurate. Maybe an upcoming album will reverse this.

Thanks for understanding, NecrodevilEvilous. Happens rarely enough.

Trying to get a clearer idea why intoxxxicated from Chicago was rejected and what I have to do to get them excepted...the band is split up and we're before the Web really took off for most people I could try to track down a cd we sold at the time and take a picture of it we weren't on a lable would that be enough ...and then I could post and mp3 to prove it's metal we wrote short songs so are releases weren't very long I appreciate your time awsome if you get back to me

You need to provide some type of proof that the albums were actually released. How many copies were made? Where could you buy it at? Do you have any photos of the actual releases? Barring any of that, are there any reviews from zines or is there any documentation anywhere? Basically we need some type of concrete evidence that the material was released. Second, we need proof that the band plays metal. This is usually in the form of sound samples (YouTube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc.) or, again, barring that, some type of review from a zine that clearly describes the type of music the band plays. It's tough in situations where the band was around before the internet got big, but we still need proof (of release and of metalness) before we can accept them.

OK thanks man I put a YouTube link for proof of metalness do you know if it worked cause I could try a mp3 of a song ...sucks it's been along time the best I could do is take a picture of a cassette of our first release and I'll track down a disc of one of the other ones....as far as Zines and reviews lol it was a foggy blast of a time don't think I ever seen one or paid attention I'm gonna dig I really would love for us to be included ...played a lot of shows and slung a lot of cds and cassettes out of our trunks be great to document the time

Different band. However, this track is the only Metal-related track with extreme Hellhammer vibe. The rest is more HC ortiented I have to admit after listening to the full compilation LP.

That is the compilation you linked earlier, containing song material that was judged too punk. A valid release is both valid in terms of format/distribution and metal. Wait for the 7'' release, things might look better then.

Hey, I´m the guy from "Drang". It isn´t a purely Metal-project. Just Experimental stuff that has nothing to do here. Close

Why were Bloodlet banned? They sound like metal-influenced metalcore- especially in this album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73k8Z99plxU .

Another casualty to the Witcher Administration: Antisect

Admittedly, the first LP is much more Hardcore than Metal, but the "Out of the Void" EP sounds quite thrashy.

"Out from the Void" EP:

"In Darkness, There Is No Choice" LP:

"Peace Is Better Than a Place in History" Live LP:

Gotta say, I agree with Witcher on this one. A case might be made based on the EP alone, but as part of the discography as a whole, I'd say no.

Ah well. Took a bit of a longshot there, but was at least partially hopeful due to its previous admission to the site and its significance in the development of Crust Punk (a broad genre, yes).

Another band that was rejected: Sore Throat / Saw Throat

Known for their noisy brand of grindcore, the band released an Industrial Metal album "Inde$troy" under the name Saw Throat. I don't mean to circumvent the blacklist, but were I to submit them, how would I go about doing so? As Sore Throat? Saw Throat? On other databases, the album is treated as by the same band, just under a different name, so what's the procedure here?

While we're at it, here's "Inde$troy":

And, for reference's sake, the grindy albums:

Yo, can someone tell me why Sons of Texas was rejected? They're just as heavy as their similarly themed counterparts Texas Hippie Coalition, who were accepted. I know they aren't blackened deathgrind, but they're rooted in metal.

They were rejected for being "Melodic metalcore, djentcore, alterna-rock. Pretty much everything except metal."

First the band keeps getting rejected and now it's blacklisted though it has a released single available for download on many sites, I need a solution for this asap please, The band is called Infernum Expectat > http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Inf ... 3540380351

Bandcamp: https://infernumexpectat.bandcamp.com/releases
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Infernum-Expec ... 834964055/
ReverbNation: https://www.reverbnation.com/infernumex ... rofile_box
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8mSTx ... b4-zhtX_Fw
Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/infernum-expectat

These all are proofs that the band exists.

Maybe you should actually read our rules. We need a physical release or a significant Digital release of preferably 20+ minutes.

Like I said, it's not the most extreme br00tal metal to ever exist, but it's still southern fried groove metal. It's heavier than some of the bands that I've seen listed.

I'd like to request an evaluation (or a reevaluation) of Breach's sophomore full-length, Friction.

For all its worth, this sounds way beyond borderline to me. :p

The second most metallic of their albums is I Am God, but, on its own, it won't help me plead my case:

I can see where you're coming from with that one, as it is often metallic, but the metal is secondary to the hardcore on this.

It's hardcore to me as well, sounds like something that influenced Hatebreed. I don't hear any metal in the riffs.

The Saw Throat album sounds like later Killing Joke with rougher vocals and a good deal of noise thrown in. Apart from some industrialish doomy moments, I don't hear metal riffs. I see Zodijackyl blacklisted this today and the note he left reflects my thoughts.
