I know that the band Enwinted from Macedonia was blacklisted a while back for not having any original releases (and I think it was non-metal anyway), but I was wondering if these two albums are enough to get them off.

I'm not familiar with Katatonia's discography. I just assumed that it was different because of the title :/. I can't find any album that matches the second one though.

Well, first album you linked to is a cover of Katatonia's Brave Murder Day, though there's no info about it or credits given.
About the second album, I'm pretty sure one of the tracks is a Lifelover track. There might be more, but I'm not really up tp date on DSBM/post/shoegaze/whatever.

I'm not a mod, but looking at that page I can tell you it's because the band doesn't have a valid release (no physical release, nor a digital release longer than 20 minutes).

Considering there are countless bands on here that have only released demos (even just one at that), I see no reason why a single 3 track EP isn't enough to get them on here. Whether its just digital only shouldn't matter either.

The rules for digital releases are slightly more strict to help curb phony submissions and weak, effortless crap, similar to the plague of bedroom Myspace bands. The fact is that we set the 20 minute minimum to keep people from flooding out crappy singles and comps. We some things slide if they're close but that's A) extremely rare and B) not applicable anyway since you're still short by like 8 minutes.

The EP is being released physically on CD in September if that helps.

Personally I think you guys should make this band one of those rare exceptions, the music on this is very solid if you're into this kind of death metal.

We're not making this an exception but when the CD does come out on the 1st, we'll take the band then.

New or not, you pretty much just had to read the rejection message. The band has three digital singles. That's not considered a valid release as mentioned in that rejection.

Sigh. Explained 2,000 times already. Bands that have at least one record that is more metal than -core are here. If all the releases are more -core than metal, then the band won't get on the site. Every band labeled Deathcore you could ask about is exactly the same answer. They have at least one record that we believe is more rooted in Death Metal than Hardcore.
