Used to be called Illumina, which is blacklisted, but not sure whether that was for the same material. Let me rephrase my question:
If I submit this, will it be considered blacklist evasion?

Holotropic

Re-requesting a re-evaluation here. There's more metal than Djent on this one.

First one whitelisted. I can't bring myself to listen to the second one, but the blacklisting is from after the release date given on Bandcamp.

I know, but I disagree with the verdict. :p

How could you possibly disagree with it, there's like zero metal there.....

Sorry if I'm overstepping my boundaries.

It's fine by me, EoH. I value your opinion. Let's leave it at that, then. At 0% metal, it's hard to make a case anymore.

I assessed it again, and agree with the original assessment.

Could the band 'Wounded Pig' be whitelisted on the basis of their recently released album, 'A Permanent Mark'?

I may be late to the discussion, but I am wondering why the band Stahlgewitter is black-listed as "not-metal". Some examples, that seem to fit within the definition of metal:

Maybe, needs more input.

None of those links work in my country, but the search function says that they're an RAC band, not metal.

Hi, I was trying to upload a Thrash Metal band called Sathaxia (Colombia), however, it says it is already blacklisted.

They recently released their first Ep and there are photo proofs of this work. May you unblock the band from the black list in order to normally submit it?. Thanks!

I found the proof on my own. Whitelisted.

Okay. What kind of input do you mean? Do other mods need to chime in, or is there more info you need about the group? I imagine it was blacklisted earlier due to there only being one short, rather lo-fi release in existence, but this particular album is nearly an hour long, sounds pretty squarely in the death metal side of grindcore (by my ears, at least), and has a much more polished sound.

Whatever the issue, I look forward to your further response.

Oh yeah, I meant more mods listening to it. I don't want to sign off on it on my own, considering I'm not all that good with grindcore.

EDIT: I got a nod from another moderator, so go ahead.

Sweet. Just submitted 'Wounded Pig' to the queue (took me a while, as it's hard to type out 46 tracks without the page timing out).

Thanks again.

So this is upcoming? Please wait, then, and please adjust the release date accordingly."

This is for all foreign orders of the tape but it is already in circulation for the locals in Bulgaria. Please re-submit as 25.10 IS the exact release date.

The German project "Erdenthraene" was rejected because they haven't released any music yet. But that's not true, their first CD came out this month: It is a split CD with "Tempers Creature" which is already added to this site. The CD can be bought here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Tempers-Creature ... SwOyJX95MC

It's not blacklisted, resubmit it with the proper proof attached and links to where the music can be heard.

Correction: It was rejected because you submitted an empty draft. It's your job to include the necessary evidence, not ours to hunt it down.

Prog/post-rock, assessed as such in 2014.

What happened to Nevrome (France)? Imo, their description looked interesting, but now they're gone from the queue.

Hi.

I am curious why Nuclear Monstrosity from Austria is on the black list. They have released an album called "So Let's Nuke'm First" in 2012 on Nice To Eat You Records, so the album can't be the reason. I assume they were not considered metal enough.

But I have to say, they are goregrind with clear metal structures. I have the album at home and there is not a single song that does not use at least some sort of double kick technique. The riffs are groovy and still metal, I'd say. Tbh most riffs remind me of southern metal, even djent/tech death style, just even lower and "grindified". The lyrics focus on "metal" topics such as war, sex and arms. Also they were repeatedly booked for festivals and shows with a lot of other bands that are accepted on this website (Gorerotted, Mincing fury of guttural clamour and queer decay, splattered mermaids, spasm, slup, etc. [and this is not meant as a comparison of bands. see the next sentence as of why]). This shows that the community enjoys them as much as those bands and even bookers think they belong to a metal festival.

Listening to the tracks available on youtube, I personally have to say: to me they are metal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w_hkQH-5M0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWff4VRGfcM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uJth4MWLNM

I am just curious why despite all those facts they are not considered metal?

Check. Mate.

There's a good reason why we judge bands by the music of their albums, and not by the festivals they perform at, or the bands they perform with. That should give you an idea why.

No. It stays blacklisted until you can show us actual, real, NON-forged, NON-fake proof of release.

Avenged Sevenfold ... uh... I hear heavy metal riffs on their newest album The Stage. Am I hearing things? Can the other mods weigh in? There are progressive metal and thrash metal elements as well. I also heard there are even black metal riffs from a friend of mine on Facebook but I have yet to reach that point in the album. I can send a link via PM.

The first song reminds me of Fozzy.

Dude you got lucky with Soulfly finally releasing a metal album after like fifteen years. Your shtick has like a 1% success rate and is wearing ever thinner each time. Yes, we've looked at Avenged Sevenfold. No, it is not a predominately metal album. Yes, it was basically unanimous. Sure, there are elements of metal, but overall the sound isn't based on it. Just like the last six or however many albums of theirs. A few mods chimed in previously on the album's thread in the Tavern if you don't believe me for whatever reason.

Another classic right up there with "Protest the Hero is progressive power metal"

I want to make a request to whitelist $lutrot. The band is just slam death metal (there's aboslutely nothing in this band's music to keep them off here) but I can see why they were blacklisted possibly because not having a legit release. However, they released an EP and demo (both digital). The EP exceeds 15 minutes. I've submitted bands to this site with albums at this length and they got approved.

Why is $lutrot on the blacklist exactly? Doesn't make much sense to me, I can imagine it must be an error or was blacklisted by somebody not familiar with slam.
Listen to their EP here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpgMlbyeQEo

I was trying add band called Tartar from Russian. But admin is rejected it. What I must want to do if I'm playing in this band, band is active, we re have two recorded unreleased albums. And admin is rejected it. Live album which I was added is really exist. That recording was distributed in our region, as demo tape.
