It has been many years since I have been on this forum and would like to try to resubmit GraveSideService to The Metal Archives .
We have re-recorded and Remastered our original release with 2 guitars ( metal riffs ) and Scott Connor ( Xastur on bass guitar ) .
We have also release 2 other cds as well , all can be proven . I can mail you physical copies if you wish . where do I begin this process ?

Why NoLand was rejected? Their full length was released a few weeks ago, and it's available as digital format through this link :

https://www.dropbox.com/s/a0hzaa61dgv7v ... owhere.zip

And this is the facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/NoLandMetal

The band Norn that I had submitted was rejected, as there wasn`t enough proof of a physical release. Here is a link from the bands own website, advertising the bands cds. I hope this is enough to get them added. :) http://www.norn.in/#!merch/c24i2

Hi, I'd like to add Sguaguarahchristis, it's an occult black metal band and band members explictly don't want to declare where they come from, they released a 2 eps and one full length, http://sguaguarahchristis.bandcamp.com/album/der-nacht

seriously? rejected? I can do pre-order CD, but I can not put on a metal archiv two days before? In that case, replaced at the album

premiere until March 24. Where's the difference? A new band has no right to for approval?

Read the rules and stop posting here each time your submission gets rejected, especially considering your poor English which makes my eyes hurt. Piotr had even explained you the reason in Polish in his rejection message, and nevertheless you have resubmitted it. :brick:

Doomed Youth was rejected not that long ago. Would this be enough to resubmit them without rejection? I just checked up on their FB page and they seemed to have uploaded all their releases for free download.

3 bands which rejected fot the reason "A band needs a valid release before they can be accepted to the site - a valid release is one that's either". But I think, these digital releases meet the requitrements:
" - Digital and available for full download: must also be a finished/final mix (no garage rehearsals or rough mixes), AND long enough (preferably over 20 minutes)
- Already released. That is, no upcoming releases!"
Releases have a final mix and ~20 min and more. Its are available for full download from official pages:
- http://vk.com/yarekovich?w=wall6287129_4541%2Fall
- http://aldegar.bandcamp.com/album/demo
What is don't correspond to rules concrete in these cases? Thanx.

I've told you several times to re-read the rules on digital-only bands, and you keep submitting bands with only digital demos or EPs. Ideally, digital-only band should have at least a full-length. In some cases EPs may be accepted if they are long enough AND are really professional releases. That is, bedroom demos do not qualify even if they are longer than 30 minutes. If you think that a release that is referred to by the band as "demo" is professional and long enough to qualify, you should expound on your arguments in the submission notes, and not simply put the download link there, we're not going to listen to absolutely everything if there isn't at least an appearance of a valid release. Also, read the complete rules, not just the rejection message. The rules also speak about the moderator discretion, which means we won't accept everything that is 20 minutes long.

Speaking about these particular bands: Aldegar - 19-minutes long demo. Ulgoroth - the release is 35-minutes long, but labelled as a demo and pretty shitty sounding. Yarek Ovich - the EP is barely 20 minutes, which doesn't guarantee automatic acceptance. The fact that it's posted in two versions, with and without vocals, also smells of it being treated by the artist himself more like a demo rather than finished product.

Why my post was ignored? I've seen the previous discussion about Sguaguarahchristis, it wasn't added because band released only eps but now they released a full length, http://sguaguarahchristis.bandcamp.com/album/der-nacht, it could be added, there's only a location issue.

Maybe this time could I register the Nagaarum in the Metal Archives?
Sorry for my awful English skill :-S

I guess this is okay, but still quite a bit of non-metal elements. I'd like another mod's opinion first.

That won't be necessary. Photos of some copies will suffice, upload them to imgur.com and post them here. Do you have a Bandcamp page or some other site where we can listen to sufficient samples of the music? The blacklist note merely says "not metal" and I don't know the band.

Errr... well, that naturally depends on whether the thing is available or not. Is it a digital release?

How many copies made? Is there any online mention of the band selling them? And why is the cover in your photo different from the one uploaded for this submission by a band member?

I want to know why the band Desecrator of Evil was deleted from Metal Archives, if IS A METAL BAND, HAS BEEN APPROVED, WITH A PHYSICHAL RELEASE AND WITH PROOFS TO SHOW THAT THE BAND IS METAL!!!!

Evidence of that is a Metal band:

http://desecratorofevil.bandcamp.com/
http://www.reverbnation.com/desecratorofevil
https://myspace.com/desecrator_of_evil.col

Desecrator of Evil has released a demo tape called "Profanacion Piionera" on Bandcamp appears the photo of the copies.

Please unblacklist or resubmit please.

Rot was blacklisted probably because they're a Grindcore with minor or none metal influences/too punk, but this band have dozens of stuff like Agathocles, one of them could be appropriate enough for the archives
Maybe "Almighty God" 1991 or "Cruel Face of Life" 1994 would be "metal enough"
I just have the download for '94 album, thanks for the attention, guys, judge the audio: http://www.4shared.com/get/d2wcoJwXba/R ... _1994.html

Another mod and I agreed that Desecrator of Evil is much more noisy punk, riffing-wise, than black metal. It's really quite noisy and raw as I remember, pretty random. Jesus Peña was rejected for a similar reason (blacklist says "bedroom noisecore") and I have to agree again. To call this death metal is quite bold.

Consider this a quick, friendly reminder that this is not what the thread is for at all (which you already seem to know). The evaluation process is part of the submission process. I know it sucks to put a lot of work in and get rejected, but you don't get to start the race from the halfway point. And also, if you aren't sure yourself, it's probably best to just not submit it anyway. If it's so borderline where the submitter him/herself is having doubts, chances are it's not gonna fly.

Why was Marcus Jidell blacklisted?

It's Heavy/Progressive Metal/Shred, so what's the problem?

That track is 100% instrumental rock shredding and he was rejected last year for the same reason.

Hi, please unban the Chinese depressive black metal band "忧泪", new full-length album "破镜" was out on 14 February: http://music.douban.com/subject/25830150/
The album is more metal than ambient, you can listen to the three tracks ("泪锁哀秋", "惘夜Pt.1" & "甜梦 (Marilyn Manson cover)") from the new album @ their official Douban page: http://site.douban.com/Sadtears/

Okay, I have submitted the band. And my concern was the same thing. It sucks to have put a lot of work in adding a band and then it getting rejected.

I disagree, the Pt.1 track maybe, but the first track has very little metal in it and covering Marilyn Manson is not the most compelling argument in the world.

I haven't listened, but it's worth adding that cover songs do not concern us when judging a band.

Sorry, I want to know why, when I added Suicide Movement, I recieve this answer

theunrelentingattack wrote:
DSBM is my forte. "Pure DSBM" - no, i wouldn't call it that. That first track is borderline. Strip away the screams and it doesn't convince me. The second track is okay to me. But that's 50/50 and that second one has a long ambient into, so right now I'd say no. But if there's more out there, I'll listen tomorrow.

But yersterday night I've see that Suicide Movement it's on metal-archives. Someone can explain me why? Thanks!

Killwhitneydead, formerly playing unacceptable deathcore, have a new album called "Suffer My Wrath". They seem to have taken a much more melodic death metal influenced sound on this album, and while I'm not sure if the album is actually out yet, I suppose the mods ought to go ahead and evaluate the album.

Yes, sometimes we take the better one but yours wasn't good enough to justify that because there wasn't much of a difference and you had a few mistakes that would have needed fixing, anyway. I was willing to transfer the info if you weren't. Let's not forget the band submission page says:
"Before submitting, PLEASE verify that the band is not already in the submission queue!"

You could have added the information to the approved submission instead of resubmitting it after it was already accepted. I was giving you that time to do that if you cared about points. I'll update it now.
