Yeah, "hahahahaa"... look, tell you what: you've received an answer from SEVERAL mods about your belligerent inquiry, and since there's nothing left to discuss, you shouldn't be posting here going off-topic... and please let mods answer other users instead. Don't address other users, point fingers and go "lol, that's not metal".

There's an entire thread about stuff we don't want regular users doing on this forum, and I suggest you read it.

And don't reply to this with an "ok" either, MysticWoods. Case closed. Any further pointless, off-topic posts from you will be deleted in rapid succession, so just don't bother.

Because, to be honest, those links provide nothing that proves that there was a physical demo out, and I can read Greek so it's not like I'm guessing either.

Well, I know some people that have it, difficult to reach now. I guess that's what I get for riping the cd.

This is what Chris Antoniou answered:

"Htan promo package gia labels mono , to opoio vghke sto internet later..cheers Chris"

So, the promo/demo wouldn't qualify as a valid release anyway.

 Oh boy, this ought to be good...

Please post your evidence here, right now. The band was blacklisted for being an alleged hoax, as no solid evidence of a release exists. :p

Also, if your "evidence" simply consists of this photograph here you're going to have to provide better proof than that. That could be easily bootlegged... got a link to the buyer's site?

I think this band should also be removed. Mistel Fjell. Not metal in my view. Too much drone and other stupid stuff but certainly not metal.

Tell me how you got a copy of this? Who would even be selling this? And from what location?

Do you understand the situation in North Korea? Do you understand how unlikely it is that this band is real.

hi guys!

i'm a bit disappointed by EM these days.

I tried to submit my new band "Raising The Veil"

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Rai ... 3540358335

which is a direct spin-off of Vienna's (Austria) death metal-legends "Seeds Of Sorrow" and "Miasma".

We have a done a lot to the metal scene since the late 80ies and early 90ies and decided to record 3 songs last year for this new band.

Due to the fact that we all have already lost huge amount of $$$ over the last decades by rip-off labels and promoters we decided to record only 3 songs in world-wide self-release.

Yes the EP is short.

BUT it is high quality music (highly acclaimed by international press [Terrorizer-Mag, Legacy-Mag] and produced @ a high-end studio.

We were liked by 15.000+ metal-fans from all parts of the world within months and are Austrias #1 metal band @ Reverbnation-Metal-Charts.

We also have many 1000s of YouTube clicks and likes on each Clip we posted.

All other Metal-Archives have accepted our entry.

Plz don't get me wrong guys, but I still believe it is quality that should count and not the quantity of music.

If we had the money we would have recorded 10 songs of course - but recording 10 songs @ high-end-studios is not affordable for us right now.

If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask or PM me.

Hi

Here is the evidence that Bloodoffer IS an actual band and should not be rejected : The demo is on sale by Exitium Productions : http://exitiumprods.blogspot.co.uk/p/distribution.html

Hope you can now accept the band.

Cheers.

@miasma_vienna: I understand what you're saying, but as a digital-only band 11 minutes with three songs is simply too short by our standards. I agree that it is very professional and serious from what I gleaned. I tried to take that into account when I rejected it. Still, a band with that little released original material (and that material also not being physical) at this point doesn't quite cut it. Please understand that accepting EPs in any form is rather the exception than the norm, as we prefer digital full-lengths, and when an EP gets accepted it's usually around 20 minutes long, 15 at the very least. I don't want to stress the numbers too much here, we're of course not into the business of assigning arbitrary values to any specific numbers, but there's gotta be a semblance of a line somewhere.

I'd wait until you guys have another release out and then resubmit (another EP like that and it would be no problem, for instance). Seems like you are getting a good amount of positive feedback, so that's probably only a matter of time anyway. :)

It is released as of Saturday, January 12.

Though it is available in a digital form, it's also a physical release:

Physical proof: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 2568_n.jpg
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/endle ... d586467032

I'm going by facebook posts made about the album's release: https://www.facebook.com/MusicMoth

Musical samples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 0Nm2swggp4

For some reason, the iTunes link has a biography of a completely different band also called "Moth" from Cincinnati Ohio.

There's also their Bandcamp: http://mothmusicproject.bandcamp.com/ I think on here you can listen to the whole album, but there shouldn't be any conflicts in genre.

I do apologize if I've gotten annoying on this band. Don't see any response to my previous inquiries.

There is another band I'm curious about... one I have in drafts but never submitted because I felt there is too little information. The only thing about this band I could find is on the Weird Truth website, specifically this page: http://www.weirdtruth.jp/cgi-bin/websto ... 1025080949

Apparently it's a doom metal band called Red Earth. Only two songs have titles, there is no known track listing, I don't even know where this band is from, I e-mailed Weird Truth a question about them and haven't received a response. Of course I haven't submitted it yet, but have bands been accepted on such little information before?

I know this might be a bit of an odd place to post about it, but I felt it was too minor of an issue to warrant its own thread.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying from 2 days to submit the band "NAGA", a new band featuring former KTER's members. A lot of forums of doom, sludge and stoner are talking about that.
I'm really close to the band, I know them personally and it would be really great to update their band state: KTER change name in NAGA. All right. KTER page: updated!
Instead everytime that i submit NAGA, metal-archives mods reject the page becouse of, in their opinion, there is no proof that NAGA made a demo of 2 songs.

Here there is the bandcamp (where you can freely download the demo too) http://nagadoom.bandcamp.com
Here there is the facebook (where they OFFICIAL DECLAIR about the 2 demo songs) http://www.facebook.com/nagadoom

Thanks everyone,
DOOM REGARDS!

Yeah, the band needs something more substantial than that, mate. You DID read our rules on valid releases, didn't you?

It doesn't matter if the band has already been accepted on the site under a previous name - in order for a newer incarnation of the band to be accepted, they need to meet the same rules as every other band. And that is to have a full-length (or an EP, if it's lengthy/professional enough), not just a handful of demo tracks.

Nechochwen. I am still curious as to why this band was deleted and then cannot be re added when clearly on the last two albums (Azimuths to the Otherworld and the new on O+O) have plenty of folk and black metal influences.

About two weeks ago, I submitted a band called Hellish Oblivion, and they were rejected because of a lack of places where someone can add their digital releases to their collection. I sent a message to the band asking where someone could get a hold of their music, and this was the response I got:
Image
I checked out the link and it seems to be seeded/uploaded by one of the band members.
Would this link be considered valid enough to get the band accepted, or should I wait until the band finds a more legitimate source to distribute their music?

Yeah, the latter. Once a torrent is unseeded, it's practically gone. Permanent (as permanent is can be on the internet) acces to an album is the way to go with digital releases. So, yes, please wait until the band distribute through a 'stable' source.

Nechochwen: Both of those albums have more ambient/folk songs than black metal songs. I just finished listening to O+O and I knew of the other album. When was it deleted? It has been blacklisted for a long time..

Hi, I was wondering why the band Powerglove was rejected. I had noticed they were not on this site and wanted to add them but then was informed that they were blacklisted so I did not continue in my submission of them. They are described as being power metal on the following review:
http://www.allmusic.com/album/saturday- ... 0002033872

So I was wondering why they were blacklisted.

Thanks.

In response to proof of Nechochwen's "metalness" here is a link to Azimuths to the Otherworlds on their bandcamp
http://nechochwen.com/
This album was also released as a physical copy. Thats the only pic I can find of it though http://mp3splash.com/covers/v2/set-23/cover-229094.jpg

Their first album "Algonkian Mythos" is purely Neofolk. Mind you excellent music but nonetheless definitely not metal.

Their most recent and third album is a mix of both genres. O+O has been released only on Vinyl as of now but a CD release is expected. Here is a digital bandcamp link to it.

http://bindrunerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/oto

I see no reason for this band to not be on the archives. More than enough Metal qualities. There are some pure acoustic songs on the albums but lots of metal songs too.

Good examples of metal songs by Nechochwen would be the first track from "Azimuths..." and the last song on O+O.

Hi,

Recently I've submitted 3 very old, forgotten bands from ex-Yugoslavia, and all 3 got rejected. One was progressive/heavy with lots of keyboards and female vocalist, but very odd one and got rejected. Second was a pre-Pomaranča (already here) band with one 7" from '78, but as I couldn't provide you mp3s of it, it got rejected with explanation that these needs to be found and provided first.

Anyway, as I can understand these reasons for rejection of these two, I'm not sure why my 3rd submitted band - REZERVNI TOČAK got rejected, and I think there might be some kind of mistake. Explanation was "Melodic rock. Not a metal band, does not belong on Encyclopaedia Metallum."

Hmm, "melodic rock"? I don't hear much melodic stuff there, and even if not heavy metal it's biker hard rock at least.
Their first LP is very comparable to NWOBHM at the time, and I don't think it's that far from Saxon, Tygers Of Pan Tang or first Def Leppard LP, also ain't more lightweight than More, more melodic than Saracen and it's maybe heavier than early Witchfynde?

There are links on youtube for all songs of their '83 LP:

Ti si žena koja grabi od života: http://youtu.be/-Sl_gtghfVE (heavy metal?)
Rokerska klica: http://youtu.be/lZpfxe7DQpE (hard rock?)
Ostani ko prije: http://youtu.be/tPypQUQoux8 (heavy rock?)
Volim te ludo: http://youtu.be/PABhI07CEKM (heavy metal?)
Jutra se ne bojim: http://youtu.be/Js2XUbnQP2s (heavy metal or hard rock ballad? neutral song.)

Idi kući: http://youtu.be/6OSBDKLnmTc (heavy metal?)
Mačka: http://youtu.be/TsCCrznbVBs (hard rock?)
Lijepa luda glavo: http://youtu.be/fy8vFRjZzDk (heavy metal?)
Ti nisi bila kao druge: http://youtu.be/_rMB9RtJOdQ (one more neutral ballad)

So, may they pass as a "heavy metal, hard rock" like many similar '80 ex-YU bands are accepted here?

The first song you linked to was the heaviest of them and it was still very borderline. There is absolutely no way this is comparable to Give 'Em Hell let alone heavier.

I mean really, you think these songs are heavier than this or this? :durr:

I hear the NWOBHM influences, but this band is definitely hard rock. Saxon and Witchfynde are way heavier than these guys. Sorry.

You might want to check Saxon again.

The first song you linked to was the heaviest of them and it was still very borderline. There is absolutely no way this is comparable to Give 'Em Hell let alone heavier.

I mean really, you think these songs are heavier than this? :durr:

I said -maybe- heavier (vocal is heavier than that of Witchfynde, although some riffs of Witchfynde are heavier).
And the first track isn't the heaviest on that LP, "Volim te ludo" and "Lijepa luda glavo" are perhaps heavier. If possible, please listen these more closer when you have time to do so.

Wheels Of Steel LP is heavier and faster than this, but I don't think this one is that far from old Saxon.
However, this band was rejected as "melodic rock" which they aren't.
Is there a chance for this to be accepted and described here simply as "heavy metal, hard rock"?
I mean, this band is an old -localism- and there in the archieves are some other ex-YU bands described as "heavy metal" or "heavy metal, hard rock", but sound more melodic or less coherent than this band. By ex-YU '83 standards, it ain't just hard rock as GENERACIJA 5 for example...

No.

If there's some bands less heavy than this one on the Archives, feel free to point them out and they're gonna be removed.

TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) isn't really that heavy.
