To OpsiusCato.
I do delete internet singles without a cover art. But don't think Im a guy who just make random deletions, I do investigate. I apologize for mistakenly delete the Agent Steel demo; it was a hasty deletion because I saw "internet versions" in the additional notes and did not read clearly. (This is one of the few "demos" I deleted.) Your comment will not stop me from deleting invalid singles, but from now on I will be more careful, and will take snapshots when I delete.

BTW, for one-track singles with a seriously designed "cover art", I normally leave it there because IMHO, this type of single has "some" legitimacy, at least the band makes an "special effort" (the cover art) for this song. However, this does NOT mean that the single is valid in the sense of our rules.

Also, it you could take a picture of that demo, it would be great.

Honestly "DreadlockMocio" is a proper idiot, there is no other word, or he's ignoring your warnings (and there have been quite a few), please do something efficient ...

See the photo he added for Unna

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Unna/3540342858

or is it me who can't see the member in this "photo"

Don't think it's that much of a transgression when that was the only image used by the artist, aside from a clearer one that was buried in their old MySpace gallery.

I'll let this one pass. Probably not worth sending a second warning over.

Well using this one from myspace would have been better, searching for correct info for 5 minutes won't kill people ....

I just noticed the image he used is band image with inverted colours/effects but though tell him not to use such pics where we cant absolutely see the member its totally useless :ugh:

http://www.metal-archives.com/users/lilien registered another account to add his fake band with a fake physical release. The band got rejected.
http://www.metal-archives.com/users/kilerdrail is trying to add his fake band with a fake physical release. The band is currently in the queue http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Blooda/3540333879
I don't know what do you think but such action should be bannable.

First of all thanks for pointing out this mistake. The problem was unintentional and will be reverted if it hasn't already, I'll check after this. Here's what happened, I use two computers at work, one of them being a laptop. I was answering a report about the releases in question. When I use the laptop I have found that when I have open fields with data in them, if I don't right click and hit "undo", it for some reason will delete the data in certain open fields. I then resubmit the updated page, and it deletes the other information. I do not have an explanation as to why my laptop does this, but I do have a solution, I won't use it anymore, instead I will use the PC. I had first noticed this glitch when I would edit record label pages and thought it was odd but caught it in time. Again, I apologize for this mistake, and my email is also available for any kinds of mistakes or concerns.

:ugh: I forgot the band's name maybe the moderator who rejected the band will remember the name it was a black metal band from France. The good thing is that if you can restore the band, there is two reports attached to the page in French language. Once you read them you will understand what do I mean.

It was F.K.V or something like that maybe.

I didn't restore the band, but I did read the reports (they are still in the database). The band certainly looks fake, despite the insistence that it's just a parody, and it does look like Nekropanzer is lilien (same writing style). He denies it somewhat by refering to Nekropanzer as "the other guy", but still, pretty damning... the whole thing stinks.

The other case with kilerdrail is worst, I mean the kid knows how the things works here and tried to fake a typical situation so he can his fake band accepted. The funniest thing was the samples.

Nekropanzer is not me, we just know each other a bit. Use your IP verification : it will be easy to tell we are not the same person because I am from Paris, and he is from Reunion, which you can tell from our IP.

That's funny, everyone everywhere clame I have many accounts, hahaah...

It's like people get a boner from reporting DreadlockMocio in this thread. If you zoom on this one, you can read it.

He's not whoring, but can someone talk to The_Black_Priest about adding mojibake'd (broken encoding) names to the line-up field like he did for http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Macarble/118233? As a "Metal Freak" he should know better.

I fixed Cold Abyss and Brudywr as I was familiar with them so those should be fine.

Edit: Oops, my bad :P I knew he did more but I was just clarifying I fixed those.

He'd added some more made-up themes and also added a lot of guesswork lineups to albums by newly added bands, among other things. I had to revert 90% of his modifications.

I reverted all the changes Verd made to Piledriver's profile. He wasn't exactly point whoring, or deliberately vandalizing, but still, he added wrong information and deleted stuff that was correct.

http://www.metal-archives.com/users/Agren%2085
http://www.metal-archives.com/users/Metal_Sound_Despot
Three highly suspicious accounts from the same IP. GrobSatan and Agren 85 submitted two 100% reviews for the band Númenor. Also, their band recommendations are exactly the same. The recommendations of user Metal_Sound_Despot is largely the same. (they are only about Númenor.) To me this is clear trolling. Actions need to be done.

user "Antioch" added track lengths 1 by 1 on Natimorto's page ... I also saw he added many album line-ups for newly added bands (1800 pts...) I hope he did not do it randomly to get points .... (you should seriously consider LIMITING the possibilities for new users to add album line-ups, like in V1 you needed 500 points to be a veteran)

Can't "DreadlockMocio" be banned once for all? He keeps adding shit AGAIN and AGAIN and it's neverending, this guy is brainless

For Casket Blaster, he added the very same 3 past members as Dead Syndicate ....

They never played in both bands .... only in Dead Syndicate from what I could find (and ignore spirit of metal page)

I don't care about point whoring, this is an encyclopedia, I don't get money in exchange of modifications..

Actually I don't remember the precise reasons why I made those changes, they were probably related to these information in the booklets:
Line-up as listed on the booklet:
Piledriver - Vocals
Sal Gibson - Bass
"Knuckles" Akimbo - Guitars
Bud Slaker - Guitars
"Former" Lee - Drums

But probably you're right and I have been wrong :D

Could you ask him to stop adding really low quality logos (cutting it off the release picture and upscaling) as well? I have fixed his stuff many times. Every single case I found a better logo by googling.

Example:

Fulgurius has already sent him a warning about that.

I wasn't able to find a better-quality logo for "Daughters of Sophia" on Google, either.

This is a better quality picture (from the label's website) than the one he took it from. I didn't feel right cutting a logo that small and is why I left it empty in hopes someone would supply a better one. If someone wants to change it, go for it. If not, I'll fix it later.

The band is also aware of this page. Maybe the person behind it would be willing to provide a better image.

Can you ask Tarroth to stop adding links to his own distro "Atomik Nuclear Desolation" to hundreds of bands

He's NOT an official distributor, only a common distro having these titles in stock

ex: Catacumba (Brazil)

or Alienante Damnation (Belgium)

I think its not the 1st time he's mentioned here....

If all distros carrying band's products are added , you can add 25 per pages

SO?? are you the OFFICIAL distributor for the whole South America?? You look more like a common distro having the releases than an official distributor

Any distro or label can ask wholesale prices for stuff from other labels.... it's not difficult

Because then you can add ALL distros distributing Ars Funebris productions and you'll get maybe 15 other distros

In label sections there should only be the Official band label and in merchandise the other official distributors, for example for Europe, Asia, North America ....

If you take Grievantee, should the label link be added to all the stuff he distributes???

http://www.grievantee.com/distribution.php
