Who else here thinks this would be an awesome idea? I know not everyone who comes on here is a USA citizen, but I think this would be a great advantage over the current "search by country" system because I know that it would be great to look up and find local bands in the area, without going through the hassle of finding bands through myspace or some other stupid social net-working website.

So, what do you think? Does this sound like a good idea to you?

I don't think this should happen because you could just use the advanced search function. Just click the "advanced" button next to "search". Then select United States (or whatever country you want) and type in the state you want to search for. You can also type in the city or province. You can find it here.
