well... i see a post locked, some one say in that post that lacrimosa is not metal, well i tell, and if i m wrong sorry, that lacrimosa is metal from the album Elodia - 1999 to the album Sehnsucht - May 8th, 2009, before u can see a gothic rock, but latter they become gothic metal and symphonic metal, so they are metall. i m not talking about a single, i talk about studio albums. well i say: they need to be in metallum archives.

According to Wikipedia (German), these two have metal/hardrock facets:
1993: Satura
1995: Inferno
but I doubt that they are entirely metal ... such a band overlooked all these years? No ...

I'll say this is one of the few bands that technically could be here, but isn't simply because of the higher powers' dislike of them. I'm pretty sure Morrigan/Hellblazer greatly dislikes this band. One of their arbitrary decisions, I guess (taking into account bands like Viikate and Svafnir are here). Their later albums all contain metal elements.

No, they're not metal, they have elements that appear on metal genres but they're not metal.

What the fuck? Someone like you ought to know better than spouting such inane bullshit. I don't even have an opinion on that band, let alone Viikate and Svafnir, whoever the fuck they might be.

Not to mention, this happens to be in the wrong forum. Plus, there's a sticky thread for this exact discussion.

OP, please take the time to use the proper avenues if you have a complaint or comment on a particular band.

Gruntruck is metal enough, they are here because that, not because of some grunge tag.

And more importantly, they have nothing to do with Lacrimosa musically. If you try such absurd arguments, then you obviously have now idea how the database works and its purpose.

As for Lacrimosa, they are more gothic rock then metal, not nearly agresssive or constantly metal riff based enough.
To repeat that you think they are metal and what wikipedia states will not help you. If you do not have something more reasonable, then it is better to stop arguing.

Are you familiar with these:

This would be a song from the Satura record:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpqpyv_l ... re=related
some very vague guitars in the background, but not even close to metal.

Woow! I just found out that there are terms like "Black List", that there are at least three entries about why Lacrimosa is not there and the very blunt words of a moderator "It's not metal, case closed." Apparently there are quite a few who consider Lacrimosa as Gothic Metal and I think it is. Wouldn't we all be happier with Lacrimosa in the library? In any case, bands like Van Canto that do not use guitars or Apocalyptica, which started only with cellos, although with Metallica covers, are included, and there are no threads of complaints about removing them from the library. (my first comment and using google translate)
