Okay, here's an idea I've been brewing with for a little while. Would it be a good idea to have an option to stop watching replies in threads? I asked a question about 100 pages ago in the "Why is X band rejected" thread, and I have no desire to continue watching it. An option to stop watching, or unsubscribing, to threads may be a pretty good idea.

What do you all think?

go to Profile and look at the option that says:

Always notify me of replies:
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

I already have that on "No."

then you shouldnt be getting any notifications or shit like that.

And it doesn't work? I have it on "No," and I don't get any e-mail notifications. It works fine with me.

No, I don't mean getting e-mails...I meant when you click "View your posts", that particular thread doesn't show up.

"Watch this topic for replies" / "Stop watching this topic" in the left bottom corner?
I had this problem for almost 2 years, receiving emails I didn't want. It's just recently I found that hidden link.

Yeah, though I think he's just suggesting an idea to have an option to just completely ignore specific threads altogether, or have it so they don't appear as "NEW" with recent posts, my guess at least.

I'm sure there's a mod out there for something like this, I don't really have an opinion on it though. I just ignore the threads and use Mark All Topics Read all the time.

Okay, I just discovered that hidden link, as well, but it didn't work.

This is what I mean: In any thread you post in, you are automatically watching the thread when you click "View your posts" in the forum index. There are a couple of threads that I no longer want there, because I won't be posting in those threads anymore, or any time soon. I think having an option to stop watching the thread in that list may be a good idea.

I tried that link you said, and clicked "watch this topic for replies". Then I saw it change to "stop watching this topic". However, I clicked that, but the thread was still being watched. So I don't think it worked.

I hope that's clear enough...I know it might be confusing, so I do apologise if it's hard to comprehend.

Now, I got it Yes, as you have noticed the link I mentioned is about not receiving emails and has nothing to do with your request.
Since I'm here, I never paid attention to those links. That's almost like I never saw them.
I tihnk, now, your suggestion makes more sense to all of us.
