I was getting some "Welcome to Apache server" page, what was that?

First the server crashed and took forever to check the file system, then the host moved us to a new server cluster, which was supposed to be a quick and problem-free process but... yeah.

Getting out of there soon.

Just curious, but is there any reason why this host seems to be having all these issues every month or so?

From what I understand, every once and a while it does something usually common (that any other host would be able to deal with quickly and reasonably), and makes it longer and more problematic than it should be.

Actually, we are not even on the same host as before anymore (they were called Fuitadnet, and yes, they were thoroughly and excessively incompetent - if anyone is looking for webhosting, do NOT I repeat do NOT go with them). Since January, we are hosted by the former Fuitadnet senior technician as I described on the main page - he basically saved our site by syncing our content on his own server, really. Things have actually been much better on his server than on theirs, but as you can see, it's still not perfect. That's why we are shopping very carefully for our dedicated server - you never know if the new host will actually be good enough, and switching server yet again will be a huge pain for everyone.

I had assumed that the senior technician's server was only temporary, and you had moved on. For the most part it has been good. I suppose what I said earlier is a mute point, given that it was a fluke compared to Fuitadnet's horrible service.

If I may ask, any hosts which you are currently considering? It's possible (even though it's probably unlikely) someone here may have been on one of those hosts, and could provide input on them before you take any risks switching over.

We have been looking at Liquidweb recently.

I hope the move (if done) will provide fewer problems than the current one does.
