I'v got his mail from you
"Either there is a lack of information, or this band has no apparent discography. (...) If this band has indeed released anything and you can show us proof, you can resubmit it again."

The question is:
How can I show You proof?
Shou I send You the Demo tape?
I don't understand the "show us proof" part. Please explain.
Thanks

Take a photo of the (original) tape if there's no other proof on the web. And also demonstrate the band is metal enough, maybe a sound file would help you in this case if there are not other references in the web or magazines.

If you do not want to get you music spread over the next, due to the "proof-upload", you can use the report function and add the necessary requirements for the submission; music, proof.

either add it to the additional notes in the submission or send it in a report after you have submitted it;I would recommend the first one.

Rozyka.MP3 files means nothing if Demo not released on CD,CDr or Tape format. Also you must show PHOTO of release.I thinks that exlibris will be rejected in this case. Also they sounds like Goth Rock.

Is this stuff not in the F.A.Q./Rules? I know it says proof is needed, but it should also suggest a photo of the release, as that is pretty much the only accepted evidence.

This is a home-made material.
They are burning the demo on CDs, and write on it with black marker, they photocopy the cover, and give it like promo after concerts.

Means they have first to sign a contract wit some publisher?

no, but they will have to take photop of the whole demo with cover as a proof.
See the Stovokor demo:
http://www.metal-archives.com/board/vie ... ical+proof

Or these combined, the black marker photo alone would not be enough:

Just a curiosity, but if the artist never designed a cover - just a label of "Artist Name - Album Name" on a piece of paper - and it's just a homemade CD/Tape, how do you know it's legitimate? What would necessarily stop a fan from taking some online tracks, putting them on a CD-R or a Tape, making up a simple label or a fake cover, and then releasing it as a bootleg or unauthorized copy. It's still a physical release, equal in appearance to that of some legitimate releases. If the artist can not be contacted, how would you go about it?

Case by case, how convincing it looks , if the artist can be contacted etc.
If there would be reasonable doubt, i will recommend hin to wait for a more convincing release.

We have already discussed all that one or two weeks ago here on this forum and countless times before.

Ah, of course.

It just seemed, at least from those previous discussions, that there was an impetus on the importance of a cover, which could be problematic given how easy it is to bootleg, and how often certain artists forego covers.

Case by case subjectivity is understandable, though. :)
