The topic of this post is this band:
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=15066

The current genre is quite far from the truth.

The genre should be changed:
see here:
http://www.klaus-wiese.com/grassow/shopSIDE.php
1. MORTON: "Lycantroph" ...somewhere between Industrial and Black/Death Metal...
2. MORTON: "Surtalogi" a free, elegiac and hypnotic composition of the Edda
3. MORTON: "Poltergeist over England" raw Black/Death Metal, as in the early 90ies
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have the Surtalogi demo and it might appeal to Viking Metal to some extend... It is not Black Metal nor Death Metal... Power Metal as well as Thrash do also not fit... Folk is also a wrong description as no instrument from the folk genre had been used and the rhythm style is also different. Here is one track from the demo which is representative as all songs sound similiar... believe it or not; the whole demo would be 180 MB to upload and this would take some time and as one track is representative I do not see the necessity to upload the whole stuff.
There are some very short and weird interlude with some kind of chants and this particular style is repeated over and over again; in terms of the interludes; see tracklist and look for short songs/interludes. Does this one facet make this band appeal to the codex of the Viking genre? Not in my opinion.
Opinions?
