Some time ago BlackMetalGirl asked for the band BELLGRAVE. I bought one of their demo some time ago and tried to submit it... ha ha.. did I laugh when I realized they were on the rejected list... very funny.
Here is one of their demos, it is their second one I presume and named "The Path on Which I Walk". It is death metal.

Laugh all you want, but it's hardly death metal. It takes more than the tuning and dark vocals. While I don't find the description in the rejected bands list (rock) entirely accurate, MMisantropo's response to BlackMetalGirl still seems valid.

Call it doom death if you like. This demo is not borderline... not at all. Or did you just listen to the first song?

Rather doing too much at the same time. I seem to find more metal in it each listen, but am not yet convinced. Seems that I need more time (and better speakers) to make my final decision. What I hear now is basically slow rock songs with some metalish riffing every now and then. Even undisputable parts. It has some of the death aesthetics, and would do well as interludes... To me it certainly is borderline, though I may be too restrictive (again).
