I'm trying to add a band, and some of the members were also in a band called Gore Beyond Necropsy. But for some reason, I cannot do the "see also" thing. I've tried the {\link band x} thing in so many different ways, but it HAS NOT worked.

I really need help with this, maybe someone can explain how to do this to me.

I've tried adding a GBN link to a different band, and there were no problems (so it is less likely to be a problem with the Archives). You used past tense above, so I thought perhaps you might have been misusing the "ex-" or other text. To be certain you're entering it correctly, the tags should like this:

({\link Gore Beyond Necropsy})

or

(ex-{\link Gore Beyond Necropsy})

Parentheses are not part of the code, but used for aesthetic purposes.

Also note that these tags don't function in the "Additional Notes" box (unless this has been changed recently). Links you see in that part of the entry are created with standard HTML code.

Uh... it does work on the additional notes. Ultra Boris even used it in his biographies, many years ago.

But not in the additional notes of releases. I tried. It would be a nice feature, especially for guest artists.

Of course not, because i rejected the.Side project or not, it should be death metal based and not 20 sec songs total noisecore, how the rare reviews on the web describe it. Pay attention, while submitting grindcore bands, a lot of it. is not allowed

But Gore Beyond Necropsy is on this site, and they play THE EXACT same style as Repulturid Mangel.

Yes, now you have named the real problem, which comes out of this.

All I wanted to know is how to link to other bands.

is it:

{\link band x}

or is it

{\www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=xxxx band x}

?

It's {\link band x}.

If there's two bands with the same name, by the way, you would link it like this:
<a href='band.php?id=xxxx'>band name</a>

Strange. It has never worked for me, on the handful of times I have tried to use it. Come to think of it, these may well have been "Not to be confused with...." cases involving bands with the same name from the same country.
