If you can't do it then just use the report function.

You have to have Veteran status (500+ points). Use the report function.

you need to reach the VETERAN status = 500 points

Until then, use the REPOST A MISTAKE ON THIS PAGE option which can be found on ALL band pages and CLEARLY explain what needs to be changed

You may get one point for the report, when it is useful. For changes like editing notes, there would be still only one point if I recall correctly.

And if you want to change it for the sake of points, it's probably not useful.

With that approach, it can develop quickly that you get bans...many bans instead of points.

when you change a logo/picture/cover, you have to wait a few minutes before the new one appears

The most likely cause is that the site is updated, but not your cache. Try to refresh the page or cleaning your cache.

If you use the Fx you can use the option: Frame reloading
just right-click on the picture..
If you did not clean up the cookies and stuff your browser might load the old one.

What if someone wanted to add some trivia to the album notes...eg. it says on the Under The Sign Of The Black Mark notes the name of the body builder etc. on the cover, some albums say who the painting on the cover is by etc. Should we use the report function in situations like that?

Yes, can be interesting, but do not report it on high priority then, use the lowest.

First of all, Im not sure if this is posted at the right place, if not. Then Im sorry for that.

I'm wondering if my albumnotes are ok?
I have recently bought the complete album disco by Ablaze My Sorrow so I edited the album notes, but is the notes to much? And I also edited the line-up, is it correctly done? I also scanned the albumcovers, but which size is the most appropriate one?

http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=224

Will gladly take some suggestions.

It looks o.k. for the most part, maybe on some albums the notes are too long. I for sure would not use the term "probably" there- he probaly played on it etc.
As for covers, if they are too big, the system will reject them automatically.

Ok thanks, but about the covers. When I mean to big, I mean how big it is by pixels, 250x250 etc. There is no general size which one should follow?

I think it's limited in file size, up to 50 KB.

Ok, so there is no clear rules which width and height the cover art should have.

Last warning - use the report function or shut up!! You are starting to really get on my nerves. If you want it the hard way, this measure is directed against point hungry users, possible vandals and megalomaniacs, which would turn the archive into chaos soon. Choose a category, which fits you best...
