I'm working on a review and I was thinking of using one to sort of make a point. What's the general consensus on this? If I posted the link would it actually come up in the review or would it just lay there? I'd rather know now before I bother throwing it up there. Thanks.

It's a rare sight, but there's nothing to stop you from using a link in a review. Most often, they appear at the end of demo reviews as a form of promotion. Normally, I'd add a shitload of caveats here.....but I'm sure you, of all people, know what you're doing.

Thanks Nightgaunt. I'm still debating on its tackiness (the link interrupting the review), or if it's really needed at all, but we'll see how the review pans out.

I think it works great here. It's not just a loose link, but it's well-integrated into the context of the review.

Can you use phpBB code or HTML to integrate it better into the flow of the text?

You can use HTML. phpBB won't work in the reviews.

Well, here goes. Hope it works out at least halfway decent cosmetically. It probably wasn't worth the hassle, but hey, and thanks for that link DeathForBlitzkrieg. I wasn't about to go searching for one.

It turned out fine. You found some pretty painful pics, the second one is truly horrible.

I've been looking for Acid Reign, but their albums seem to be rarities around here, on CD at least. No luck so far.

Ha, funny you should comment here, Napero. I was this "" close to putting a picture of Hanoi Rocks up there, but I figured the point was made. :p

Now that I look at the review, I think a better sentence would've been "Now DV dresses like he's riding his skateboard down to the beach." but what are you going to do?

Edit?

Hanoi Rocks? The gayness has reached the critical level, captain... they are still active, and I cannot figure out why...

Yeah, but I don't like giving the mods more work, but since you offered.

There.

Added the Hanoi Rocks site too. :) :ugh:

Took a while to approve, Shawshank Redemption is on the telly...

I cannot even begin to describe the aversion I have towards Hanoi Rocks. And I helped to link them from the MA. It's time to drink some beer and repent. :)

In this case it's the thrill of the chase more than the album itself. I consider EBay cheating.

I'm a second-hand store prowler. The only albums I've bought on EBay are Rigor Mortis' S/T and Blind Illusion's you-know-which. A friend helped me, I don't have an own account. Five months ago I didn't even have a credit card. I'm, like, totally old skool.
