There are quite a lot of new bands that are added to the archive that just have one release on myspace. There is another platform - of that I know there might be more - with the name Jamendo. Is it legitimate to add releases offered there to add here? On this page there are full albums offered which can be downloaded for free and it is possible to support the bands via Paypal for instance. So how to handle with it?

If a release would be legitimate hosted on MySpace, I suppose one hosted on Jamendo would be just as viable.

However, I should add that many of the bands you've mentioned (from MySpace) may be mistakes that shouldn't be on this site. A band whose only release exists solely on MySpace--and in no other form--isn't supposed to be eligible for the site, barring an executive exception. I encourage you to report these bands, so that they can be removed if necessary.

Sorry, but I think I have to reopen this post.
Today the German pendant to MySpace has been launched. The name of this portal is: Bloomstreet.

http://www.bloomstreet.net/

The core idea is the same as it is at MySpace. Theoretically there the following could be found on band's MA-site:
offical MySpace
MySpace fan
Official Bloomstreet
Bloomstreet fan
Jamendo

And I do not believe that this is the last forum that has opened it gates. I really wait for something like that coming from Asia.

You might ash yourself how reliable it is that bloomstreet will exist in the web. Well, the BDMI has invested some (it is unknown how much) money in this project. I call it web 2.0 hysteria...
