Terrorizer - After World Obliteration CD

Was released some weeks ago under the fake labelname of CBR (Chicken Brain Records), an old Punk/Metal label (which e.g. releases the Projectzions Of A Stained Mind Sampler). This label is dead since ages and the name of it was only used for some bootleg-asshole for this Terrorizer Bootleg CD.

Mortem / Morbid - Split CD Bootleg
Dimmu Borgir - Destroying Tilburg 2001 CDr Bootleg

EDIT: I wonder if Pestilence - Chronicles Of Scourge is a bootleg CD ? It says Wannes helped a lot, Metal War is not a Bootleg label and the original Consuming Impulse cocer is featured ??? Sound is 1a by the way !!!

Just a quickie - if a band releases full live sets for download from their official website, does that class as an official release to be added to the archives or a bootleg because it didn't come out through the band's record label?

I'd say if it was an official bootleg that wasn't physically released through a record label, it should not be added. Otherwise, the Metallica page, for example, would be filled with dozens, possibly hundreds, of releases. If the bootleg is officially sanctioned by the band for release through a record label, it's an official bootleg that can be added. If the band just releases live sets online, or supports fans making bootlegs of their shows, then it wouldn't be an official release.

I can't believe this is still on the Archives:
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108946
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108943
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108944
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108945
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108947
(Black legions project compilation 1995)
This is clearly a bootleg, it was released in 2002 and not in 1995. On the CD is written "Black Holocaust Prod. 2002". It's the same thing as other compilation bootlegs like the two "Black Legions Anthology" by Le Mond Mort Records.
Black legions never released any CD beside the 2 splits (Vlad Tepes/Belkètre [Embassy Prod.] and Torgeist/Vlad Tepes [Drakkar Prod.]) and the 'Vampire of Black imperial blood' Mutiilation album [Drakkar Prod.]. All the "projects" on this bootleg (Vladre, Chaos, Necro Paris Catacombes) were released separately on demo tapes (like all other LLN projects).

Mütiilation - Evil - Suffer the Gestalt of Abomination -
Just thought i'd contirbute what i knew about this release:
It is basically just the "Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul" album that was re-released by Tragic Empire Rex with two extra tracks on the end. I don't think it is an official release in any sense, and i'm not certain of even an approximate release date. So yeah, in short, it should not be added as an official release.

This is not really correct. "Evil - The Gestalt of Abomination" was a recording from 1993, and it was supposed to be the first Mutiilation full-album but it was never released (and existed as a demo recording since 1993). It was, in fact, released by Drakkar in 1999 with 2 bonus tracks (recorded in 1996) and with the title "Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul". It's clearly stated on the vinyl edition by End All Life Productions http://www.cultmetal.com/albums//216/7869575159c51f2936f26793b5db8025.JPG

The Tragic Empire Records edition is not a bootleg, but a 2005 CD re-release of the long deleted album with its original title and 2 unreleased tracks. In fact the Tragic Empire Rex (http://ter666.cjb.net/) releases are not bootlegs at all but official re-releases on CDs, that label is linked to Embassy productions (that released the March of the Black Holocaust split album) and have all the rights to re-releases those albums (or demos, like they did with Vlad Tepes' "La Morte Lune" or Belketre's "Ambre"). The Tragic Empire Rex releases are distributed by labels like Drakkar or GoatowaRex.

I still don't get why this shitty bootleg (http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108946 - Black Legions Projects Compilation 1995) is still accepted on Metal Archives, and why the official Tragic Empire Rex re-releases are considered bootlegs.

Rabe - Chapel of Souls

It was deleted a few days a go, but just want to post it so there is less chance of being added again. For people who believe it is an official one, Inferis told me that there is no such thing as a rehearsal called Chapel of Souls.

Hi

A few months i added this release , (Raging Death) http://www.pop.nu/show_record.asp?recid=230900 , and it was deleted .

As far as i know this is no bootleg! It´s not a "normal " split but it has 5 bands ,why was it deleted?

Thanks

Are you guys certain that the self-titled Marquis de Sade release is a bootleg? According to some sources (including a guy who knows the guy behind the High Roller Records label) it's valid.

This forum thread gives some more input: http://www.hellridemusic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10659:

Quote:
In cases such as Marquis De Sade or Demon Pact, the High Roller guys themselves got fooled by their former business partner Joe Pangallo, who told them that he would own the rights for the songs - something that turned out to be nothing but a plain lie... but as soon as they found out that Pangallo had screwed them, they've not only stopped any cooperation with him, but also contacted the bands and managers themselves and made up for everything. So there's definitly no bad blood between these bands and High Roller Records. With Demon Pact, for example, they'll even do another record in the future.

I'm not 100% sure of what to think now. It was a bootleg but isn't anymore?

Extreme Noise Terror's "Live & Loud" ( http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=31382 ) seems to be a bootleg, although it's listed on their website -> http://extremenoiseterror.tekcities.com/discography.htm
"Label: Unknown" and apparently only available on CD-R -> examples:
Link.

Came across this release: http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=76323

Don't know anything about it but the fact that it has "Doesn't actually exist" written in its notes seems to indicate it needs attention.

Falconer - Swords From The North (Best Of, 2006)
Zonata - Exceptions (Best Of, 2007)

i am afraid i dont have any proof more than i can say i know the guy who made the Zonata best of, he is known as Metallerium (found at pretty many rapidshare link sites)

I have recently bought a Mayhem/Emperor split, it's a bootleg, (not the live bootleg with the screaming guy at the front, nor the split on green vinyl) tracklist: Emperor-A Fine Day To Die (Bathory cover)
Emperor-Massacra (Hellhammer cover)
Emperor-Funeral Fog (Mayhem cover)
Emperor-The Ancient Queen
Mayhem-The Vortex Of Inhumanity/I Am The Labyrinth
Mayhem-Fall Of Scraphs
Mayhem-Ancient Skin
Mayhem-Symbols Of Bloodswords

who can give me some more information (release year, line-up etc.)

Hi

Sorry , and correct me if i´m wrong but isn´t "Heroin" from Alice in Chains a bootleg?

I think so and nothing on their website indicates otherwise.

Vader - Tyrani Piekieł (Demo) - yes it's Vader, but it is not an official release. Interesting thing though. One of their first song.
Oh, one more thing:
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=108488
Bootleg or not? Becouse I downloaded "Ondes Triumph" and... well, "Rehearsal 1993" IS "Ondes Triumph".
