Would like to add a band, but are not able to because it says that name is blacklisted. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

The blacklist is for bands previously submitted by users, that got rejected and the music deemed not metal by our standards. You may submit an appeal in the Band Appeals subforum if you believe the blacklist is either for the wrong band or outdated.
