sorry about my report then. but their myspace page doesn't say that its a re-release, it just states that its out in june (and seems to imply that there are no other releases)

Decomposed Cunt
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=47871

A Bard Faust band that apparently only had a rehearsal tape. No releases. Just thought I'd point it out.

A rehearsal tape is still a release. The keyword here is "tape", meaning that it was most likely released/distributed by the band as a separate cassette in physical form; as opposed to a couple rehearsal songs somebody tacked onto a tape dub as filler.

The reason I brought this up is because no release is listed on the MA page. If there's a release add it, but unless something is added I don't see why their here.

Sometimes releases are put in the "Additional Information" field when a release cannot be formally submitted. For example, say some old-school Albanian death metal band that existed for a year and a half put out some shitty self-released demo with 3 songs on it. We know it exists (maybe through a photograph or something), and that the band exists, but we don't have all the details, like song titles. Well obviously, one cannot make a full album report, so goes in the Addition Information section.

Oh sorry guys, I didn't know you had to post bands with no discography here so I reported the band I found. Anyway, Pin Drop Violence aren't metal, the vocalist imitates Corey Taylor and the band has said that they were inspired by "Slipknot, Mudvayne and Soulfly". I also reported about 4 Indian bands with no discography whatsoever.

Here - http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageart ... dID=116881

I hope you have a soundclick ID :p, If you read carefully you'll notice the following lines -

"
They have listed themselves as a nu-metal/hardcore band

They reccomend the band for fans of: slipknot, hatebreed, biohazard, fear factory, system of a down, coal chamber, devildriver, superjoint ritual

Your influences?
slipknot, fear factory, system of a down, hatebreed, american head charge, skinlab, pantera, korn, filter"

I think no further explanation is necessary.

I have deleted Karo, even if the band had metal image (album cover, chains, leather jackets with spikes etc.), the music was commercial hard rock in Van Halen/Europe style
Good party type music, I would actually buy it, but not real metal.
Samples are here, if someone wants to listen :

Don't know how the hell A Perfect Murder slipped through the radar again. I reported it, but I don't know if it went through or not.

Because they belong, their new material is modern thrash in Pantera vein.

Most mods agree on this, even The Clansman-our -core bands hunter.

I should not be deleted the last time it was accepted, so please stop reporting them - when you enter they homepage, you'll here why they belong.

Apparently this band has no real discography. I've also checked some old tape trader lists and couldn't find any demos/official releases.

No releases. The songs on myspace sound like grindcore nonsense, and it appears to be a joke.

I've delete some bands:

Paradise Lost: I'm not sure, but it seems like a bootleg. As for the Abruptum album, I don't mind keeping it.

Anyone know if this band actually has a physical release:

http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=8357

There's just a mention of a downloadable album, but the linked pages don't mention a physical release.

Funnily enough, he's a finnish guy, says he's from Sweden on the MySpace page, and the band is located in Ontario, Canada.

Someone reported that the additional notes mentioned an upcoming album, scheduled to be released in 2003, so I guess the band hasn't been updated too much lately. I removed the mention, but now there are no releases.

Unless someone knows better, I think the band should go.

I got a report that this band is possibly fake. Apparently, they formed in 1999 but the main guy is only 17 (in 2006). This would make him 10 years old when the demo was released.

Maybe the mod who accepted them could shed some light here...

Why were Steve Von Till and Scott Kelly accepted? Both are members of Neurosis, which might apply because they are side-projects/solo albums, however their music is not in the slightest bit metal.

Steve Von Till:

Scott Kelly:

For the same reason Mortiis, Dargaard and other non-Metal side projects are accepted here. I don't agree with the rule, but like everyone else I must live with it. I wasn't the one who accepted those bands, by the way.

Also, got a report for Filacteria saying that they are nothing but a Nu Metal band. The person who made the report and the original submitter are both valuable contributors here. Maybe somebody with a fast connection could find some mp3 samples...

Edit: Same story for Tavú. Both bands are Puerto Rican and the member who reported them is himself from that country.

Tavu - your basic Pantera/Machine Head/Meshuggah worship band, they have modern elements, but they are still in the metal realm imo.
http://www.myspace.com/tavu

Filacteria is rather borderline, since the songs that start to play, when you enter their page sound rather metal, but in the mp3s more and more nu-influences in Soulfly/Tool stylůe start to show up.

I have accepted the side projects of Neurosis members. Sadly, the side-project rule allows such kind of bands to get in. If I haven't there would for sure be another topic why those two bands were not accepted.

Some of you people don't know what you want. I start to hate the side-project rule more and more.

On a sidenote, its kind of annoying that pretty much half the releases on the Iljarn-page are re-releases. Sure, their tracklists are slightly different from the original releases, so they slip through a loophole in the rules, but I don't really think much is served by having the site cluttered up with demos that have been released like five times total now.

the stuff on the ildjarn page seems correct to me (and im always the first one to complain about re-releases).

ildjarn '93 is missing a 5 of the original tracks and the Minnesjord re-issue is missing 3 of the tracks.

At this instance: wouldn't it be better to re-add this:

http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=99443

as a 2 disc set, and write what's different at the LP version in the additional notes? The CD listed (78min) doesn't fit on one LP.

Just readd it and send a report to delete the other album.
