Always thought the icons were really tiny, but maybe that's because I currently have this obnoxious laser mouse that moves across half the screen when I move my hand half a millimeter.

-edit- Also, I don't know if it's maybe because I'm colourblind, but with the size of the icons, dark red on black background can be a bit hard to spot if you don't know where to look.
