felix headbanger seems to be adding guesswork lyrical themes to bands that don't have any lyrics listed on albums.

It may be wise to IP-block this scumbag, so he stops flagging reports.

According to these three reports he added Cradle of Filth lyrics on Xasthur albums.

I asked him to explain; if he doesn't it's a final warning.

User fvincent needs to be notified about not writing:

"Colombian First Edition", "France Tape", "Mexican Re-Edition" and such in the version description fields,
and also the proper use of the additional / recording info fields.

Looks like a possible little bit of vandalism to Fleshgod Apocalypse's page? Just added a "lel" for the bio field and left it.

Is there any way to temporarily disable reports for a specific page? A visitor has made at least 50 reports in the last month or so trying to get a name changed. Kinda clogging up the reports queue whenever he gets on.

It would be amazing if there was, but unfortunately I don't think there is. Pretty sure the most that can be done is have a mod ban the IP, but idk if that can be done either since that is a visitor.

Staffers can see visitor IPs, and one of his was already banned after he went apeshit with reports. After looking into the whole real name thing, I have removed it from the field now and added some stuff to the page. Not sure if this is the best solution here, but the user who added the name in the first place can't quite remember (or provide) his original source for it.

So, I just did something that could look a lot like point whoring if someone were going back through the modification history of the Orchid / Pig Destroyer split. I feel like I should leave an explanation if it ever comes up on this thread.

I fixed a formatting error in one of the songs' lyrics based on a report, then I noticed that there are two non-mettallum Orchid bands attached to this split. The update history says it was me who added the second Orchid at the same time that I fixed the lyrics, but I never touched that section and it's basically impossible to add a band to a split on accident since you have to go through a whole set of windows to do that. I really don't know how the second Orchid showed up.

I tried deleting one and then the other but both times when I hit save both instances of Orchid were still there. I ended up having to remove both so that only Pig Destroyer was credited on the split, which worked. I then re-added Orchid and re-assigned their songs.

Apologies for the excessive editing but that's the only thing I could do that worked.

They were exactly 492 lyrics added, 99% of them done one-by-one. :nono:

User AskeFjell91 changed the activity period of Iron Maiden to
"1975-1976, 1976-present", and as far as I know, Iron Maiden have never split-up.

Wikipedia says that there was a very brief split up in '76:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Maiden

Do a ctrl+f search for the word "temporarily" in the history section of the page.

In the meantime, let's not get too trigger-happy about calling other users out in this thread.

No, it says Harris temporarily disbanded Iron Maiden. This could mean anything, but since it's such a short period I think it's insignificant. What happened was probably that he fired everyone and regrouped.
Besides, Wikipedia is not the most reliable source. Reverted the change.

The part of Wikipedia that mentions the disbandment cites one of Iron Maiden's official biographies, though.

Info here:

Iron Maiden "The Early Days"(13:58 to 15:32 refers to 1976)

Short story: Ron Rebels, Bob Sawyer and Dave Murray were fired (not simultaneosly) by conflicts with Dennis Wilcock.
Dennis quit the next year (77'), so it's impossible that the band split-up completely during 76'.

16:50 says Wilcock retired from the band on spring 77' (this must be corrected here, on the archives)

Before Dennis quit a number of musicians entered Maiden briefly: Thunderstick, Terry Wapram, Tony Moore... etc.

Hey! she's one of the oldest and most useful users on the website with 23k+ points and a hard-worker since 2011.
She's just removing catalog IDs for the digital versions-only (which is harmless and on-point with the site standards I think).

Hi, I take the initiative to say that while I've been adding some information about a compilation appearance, something gone wrong and I has to edit the data repeatedly. I guess it made up to 3 points I shouldn't have earnt. It has been done in the last few minutes so if there's a way to fix it up please let me know your view.

This is the update history between 17:27-17:28 (it was about codes/links). The last one is okay though.

http://www.metal-archives.com/users/Never_Enough 's lineup on the new Danzig album seems suspect ("Drums (occasionally)")... he's been doing a lot of lineups, might be worth asking for a source.

He's going through a bunch of Hells Headbangers stuff and changing the catalog numbers. Mostly taking LP, MLP, EP etc out of them but that'show they are listed on HHR's releases.

He's doing other labels as well. As you can see from the pictures that the catalog number is TRUSTNO021 not TNO 021. His RPM changes seem dubious as well.

Points wiped and warning sent. Keep an eye on him though. Pretty extreme case of abuse, so I wouldn't be surprised if he has difficulty stopping.

Sorry about that. I believe I added the "occasionally" part after I saw similar misinformation listed on Black Laden Crown's Wikipedia page under personnel. I assumed there was a source for that information, however I was too tired and lazy to confirm it. It seems that the page was revised since then. Again, my bad. I'll make sure to be a little more critical in the future.
