I receive a e-mail with this question:
"Sorry byadrago, Encyclopaedia Metallum was forced to reject your submission for the band Side Overcast (Brazil), for the following reason:

Can you provide pictures of the actual physical demo?"

So, the band was mine. But it split-up a long time. What kind of pictures you need?
We just recorded a demo in the studio. We did a lot of shows, but we din't win the media, some reports, but nothing great.

Well, turns out that streaming-only digital releases are NOT considered valid releases according to the site standards. The blacklist note mentions this is a band with a streaming-only release, and "no proof of any officially downloadable release".

Well, we need pics of the actual, physical demo. Was it released on tape? Great! Take pics of the tape and post them! Was it released on CD? Superb! Take pics of the CD and post them. Was it released on vinyl? Brilliant! Take pics of the vinyl and post them! Was is released on... Well, you get the idea.

EDIT: It was YOU who forged evidence for this band and got banned for blacklist evasion. Stop asking and go away. And don't come back. You're not getting your band in by just insisting in a different, banned account.

Well, there's no mention in the blacklist as of the reason of their blacklisting. Based on your genre description, it doesn't strike me as unambiguously Metal, so we'll have to give it a spin. Could you please post a picture of that cassette you bought, also?

It's blacklisted for being "Post-hardcore (...) with some sludge". Meaning non-metal. So, this is a new, more metallic album? We'll give it a spin.

I gave it to me for about two and nobody answered me, so how can I defend against rejection?
My band Alter In Mind was rejected, it is not metal. I do not agree. I think I honestly wrote in the genre, as the band plays - crossover, because we play no clean style metal (thrash, deatn, nu-metal, heavy), but rather a mix of all, but still the base is metal music and I think that we can be designated as a band that plays heavy metal music. I don't see your submission in deletion history, probably you have returned it to your drafts, so I can't say for sure. I only see that it was submitted by another user in March 2013 without any links, when the tape probably wasn't out yet. By the way, how come you don't have a digital version if you had uploaded it here and here? Those links are dead, but I've found the samples in a different place. You can resubmit the band.

Both songs are riff-based funeral doom played REALLY slow to the point where it's near drone, but it's still very much metal with some atmosphere thrown in. Riffs, leads, drumming, bass. Reminds me of a slower Ea quite a bit. The first song has a slow start (heh) while the second starts off with a 'faster' riff.

I admit I haven't heard the previous two releases, but they might be in a similar vein or they might be somewhat different. I think this album should be sufficient to get them taken off the blacklist as it is thoroughly metal.

The Blacklist says: "Metalcore + Evanescence worship". It was blacklisted in 2013.

We had a long discussion on Kvelertak and they aren't coming back unless they release something that's totally metal in the future.

None of their releases were predominantly metal. All of the full lengths and the demo were considered. For some odd reason they were accepted as a black metal band when only their demo was out. One of the band members actually brought it to our attention that they certainly were not a black metal band and were labeled incorrectly - I believe he described the band as punk/rock n roll. We removed them with the input from a dozen or so staffers - we went over their material quite thoroughly. They're not a metal band.

There's your way of bringing them back Christ_ins_anity. But I doubt they are going to go for a dramatic shift in sound anytime soon. They sound like the kind of band that has found their sound and are more or less sticking with it.

However, I understand the situation. I like Kvelertak and just because they aren't in the Metal-Archives doesn't diminish how insanely catchy they are.

Agreed, and I also understand the reasons...
I highly doubt they change their sound to something more metal soon, if ever, but what the hell, I like them anyways!
