Hi guys,
what about Fit For An Autopsy? Can you add the band now, after they shifted their style from a generic deathcore sound towards a more post metalesque/modern death metal sound on their last last 2 releases?

Thanks for your time :metal:

Please use the search function next time.

Had you cared to use the search function, you would've noticed both of those albums have been evaluated already. So no.

Hi, bro. To be honest, I really used the search function, but apparently here, I used it wrong, because I didn't get anything accurate about the evaluations of those albums. I will post here again, when the new album comes out this October 25.
Thanks!

Yeah, we just noticed. The Rules & Guidelines of this forum will be updated with some tips and trick for searching soon.
Basically:
Fit for an Autopsy -> no results
"Fit for an Autopsy" -> results

Also worth mentioning, if you search for the word Autopsy by itself, it gives you 25 results pertaining this band, not counting those from this current thread.

I just wanted to float the latest album as a possibility for acceptance as I've been listening to it for a review on an outside webzine and it is striking me as more metallic than any of their previous releases. Granted, it's probably just borderline for an acceptable version of deathcore, and there are some pretty clear djent sections including the first minute of the opening song, but I am picking up some stronger tech death and melodeath influences at work on this one. Might not make the cut, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Edit: Oops, didn't see that somebody had already opened a thread for this one, feel free to merge/delete this. Tried searching for the band but it wasn't showing up.

Any possibilities at re-evaluating this band? I assume their old material is why they were blacklisted, but their most recent two albums have gone into Gojira-inspired riffing styles mixed in with the deathcore they're known for.

https://open.spotify.com/album/32GfO907 ... 7myn1K9efw
https://open.spotify.com/album/75layqZM ... g4D3c7aSjQ

This may turn into nothing, but it's worth a shot.

I don't know why I can never find these other threads. I use the search engine but they never pop up for some reason. Bizarre.

Actually, for searches, you need to use quotation marks if the name has more than two words in it. So instead of Fit for an Autopsy you search "Fit for an Autopsy", instead of Bullet for My Valentine search "Bullet for My Valentine", etc. When the name has two words or less there's usually no need for quotation marks since those names are usually found rather easily. Also, when the thread gets merged you'll see PaganiusI's comment here referring to the same thing.

Yeah, this, mostly.

Has nothing to do with number of words though.
Searching for Bullet for my Valentine brings no results, because "for" and "my" are too short words to be "reliable" search paramenters, so they were defined as invalid by whoever created phpBB (I think).
If you search for Bullet Valentine it gives you all posts that contain the word Bullet and the word Valentine, no matter the order.
If you search for "Bullet for my Valentine", the results you'll get are all posts that contain the exact string of words.

New album out, has plenty of metal riffing. Both in the death metal/deathcore vein, and the proggy Gojira groove stuff.

Borderline deathcore but a bit more on core than on metal side of things.

Just for the record, the decision involved more than a dozen staffers and it was a bit of a close thing, but ultimately there were more nays than yays.

Fit For An Autopsy is a band that has been blacklisted due to their previous deathcore work. However I believe that their new work should get them Reevaluated. Songs like "Far From Heaven" and "Two Towers" from their newest album "Oh What The Future Holds" contain prog metal elements that I believe should get them another chance at being accepted. There were also some prog songs like "Shepherd" and "Warfare" on their 2019 album "The Sea of Tragic Beasts". I believe these elements should get them a chance to be added as a Progressive Deathcore band. Their newest album quite literally sounds like if Gojira went deathcore.

Fit For An Autopsy is more metal than they are "core" nowadays with their current sound. They deserve a reevaluation and be put on this website.

Here are some examples: https://open.spotify.com/album/6Ye3ONH5 ... XQN-faZlrg

I do agree with you that they should be here, although I am not a fan really, but is there something that has changed since the last time they were brought up?

They haven't dropped anything new yet but they still deserve to be re-evaluated and put on this site. They are more metal than core. Listen to the examples that I've put in my last post. Their album "Oh what the future holds" is the perfect example of being more metal than core

In that case, wait until they release a new album.
