Ripped a friend of mine off on shipping.

Didn't hold items for someone else.

I tried to order from him once and he just plain ignored me.

Cheers,

I ordered twice from them and everything went without problems. Good packaging, cheap shipping costs (at least within Europe). Good and fast communication.
It took some days after receipt of the payment until the packages were sent, but that was maybe because of Christmas time and New Year time where most people took some days off.
But I would definitively order again.

ABYSS RECORDS - If you're from the United States...do. business. with. them. RIGHT NOW! Sorry for the overenthusiasm, but I've made numerous orders with them and have been satisfied with them. Lots of hard-to-find albums there.

They've also got a wide selection too, so you're likely to find something you like.

Word of advice: Don't buy Grinded Nig's CD; it's the bootleg version. Go to other labels instead.

I've had a couple of transactions with them over Ebay and have had everything arrive quickly and satisfactorily!.

I recently bought two cds from Firebox records and they arrived very quickly despite me being in Australia so it was a very positive first transaction.

I'd also highly recommend Nuclear Winter Records. Anastasis replies very quickly to emails, is very helpful and sends stuff very quickly. I've also ordered vinyl from him that is well packaged and protected. Great prices generally too.

One (so far) negative experience is with Killzone records. I tried to buy a cd off them but they charged me the wrong price for shipping. So I emailed them about it, never got any replies and I haven't received anything yet. Something tells me I won't get anything from them. I would be wary of buying anything off them ever again.

Hellride Music - great us distro for doom and traditional metal. He also has some death metal and thrash. Very fast shipping and decent prices. Communication is excellent. Chris takes time to reply to all emails. They don't send anything by ups, just usps but Chris emails as soon as he sends the order and it never takes too long.

Also I agree with everyone who has said Hells Headbangers. I order from them constantly and I have never had a problem. I'm in NY so I get my orders within two or three days. Great selection and prices. I met Chase a few days ago and he is really cool.

Siege Of Amida Records (neutral)

Well, I finally got my CD from them, but not after having to repurchase it (I couldn't find the confirmation email, but as it turns out, I actually did purchase it), so I'll eventually have 2 copies of it. The payment was sent on the 12th of December, and it just arrived today. Too slow, even when sending it to the arse-end of the world. But I did eventually get it. I'd deal with them again, but if it takes as long as it does this time, I'll probably not in the future.

Yeah, I ordered the Arckanum Box (splatter vinyl, lim. 100). Communication was good, but the box was delayed due to an error of the manufacturer. But he always replied fast to my questions, so I would order there again. So I can't give any comments to their processing time as I didn't have an order with all items available.

Nuclear Hell

Great if you don't mind Russian pressings. Good quality CDs, fast and free shipping, and good prices. You have to sign for the CDs when they arrive, but other than that, great distro.

MWR ignored every order I attempted to send him, so I'd avoid.

Evil Distribution out of Latvia is Solid though, gotten many tapes from him

Jusr received my first order from Obscure Abhorrence productions, I ordered on Tuesday, so processing time was really fast. A nice but small selection they have available and still some rarities to find. They had a copy of "Nordreich - Verschlungene Pfade" from 2007 (Digibox edition, handnumbered 100 units) left. Prices are aboslutely fair, shipping within Germany also.
So recommended.

Next good distro I want to mention is Frenteuropa (www.frenteuropa.org) in cooperation with Black Metal Lusitania (www.blackmetal-lusitania.com) from Portugal.
Ordered last week Thursday, paid via EU bank transfer (which takes 2 or 3 business days) and today my order arrived. They have a small but fine selection, good prices and free registered shipping for orders above 80 Euros.
The guy behind the distro nearly sent me an update every day if I want alternatives as 2 of the original ordered CDs where he only had one copy left have scratches on them. So really remarkable how this guy cares about his customers.
Also he will send me a message when the items that have been temporarily out of stock will be available again and he told me to give them to me for the same price as they have been a cheap price offer for a limited time.
Packaging was also good, so definitively great distro where one can order without any worries.

Has anyone had the same problem as this with DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN in Germany?

I traded with him for 5 cassettes and I was suspicious the second I opened the package and saw all 5 tapes (all from 5 separate countries in Europe and from years apart) were all on the same brand of blank tape. Furthermore, all the inserts were xeroxed on the same paper and cut too short to properly fit the cassette boxes. I haven't listened to any of the cassettes yet to find out how well this fucker has counterfeited these a but I strongly advise against using this label if you are looking for the genuine article.

Next distro I can recommend is Cdon (www.cdon.eu). Located in Denmark if I remember correctly. Their assortment is very wide (also non-metal stuff), prices are generally a little higher than others.
But they had the Norwegian Box Edition of Satyricons' The Age of Nero left for around 23 Euros which is sold for almost twice the price on Ebay or anywhere else I have seen. Postage costs were 3,95 Euros which seems ok to me.
Positive is, that you get an automated Email when the order is sent (2 days after placing the order). Very fast shipping, took in total 3 or 4 days to arrive. Packaging was also very good.
Negative - only payment possibility was Credit Card

I bought wholesale from Regain Records a month ago, and some CDs are without plastic wrapper. I don't know if they're still new, and I'm afraid selling them. Regain says that the jewelcases were cracked so they have to change it and of course move the wrapper. What do you guys think about that? Anybody ever had the same experience, whatever label?

AVOID GOREGIASTIC RECORDS.....

I was once a very loyal customer of theirs, but lately they have been very forgetful in sending packages. My last order was in July 2008. It took 3-4 weeks for the package to get to me and it was only after my inquiry did they send anything and make them get off their asses.

I gave up on them until 2 weeks ago when I decided to give them another chance. and AGAIN, I emailed them to ask what is up and they send me a delivery confirmation email dated the same day I asked about it. When you have to remind a distro to send your package / order, something is not right at all.

again, AVOID GOREGIASTIC RECORDS!!!!!!!!!!

i won't go into detail but yes

AVOID GOREGIASTIC RECORDS!!!!!!!!!!!

they will LIE
and USE EXCUSES
and SEND TRACKING NUMBERS.......BUT NEVER ACTUALLY SEND THE PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a few emails to back up my claims on all of these but bottom line is GOREGIASTIC ARE RIPOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
