Strychnia (http://www.facebook.com/strychnia), a Death/Thrash metal band from Central New Jersey is searching for a full-time Guitarist and Drummer to complete our line up. We are currently a four-piece with only one Guitarist, but our Drummer doesn't have the time to play shows and commit full-time. And we would love to add a second guitarist to our line up, lead or rhythm, it doesn't matter. We are currently recording a 5-song EP titled "Reanimated Monstrosity" at Frightbox Recordings in Clifton, NJ and releasing it in May 2013.We plan on doing tours in the near future and we are going to do whatever it takes to land a major record deal. We were inactive for about a year but we just recently reformed in July 2012. Prior to our hiatus we had been active on the local scene for just over 2 years. During those 2 years we annihilated shows, tearing up venues such as Championship Bar & Grill, Starland Ballroom, The Trocadero, Crocodile Rock Cafe, Hangar 84, Dingbatz, etc. We toured the east coast and we even had offers from independent record labels. We released our debut full-length album "The Anatomy of Execution" in June 2011. We've got about 5,200 fans on Facebook, and 33,500 on Twitter (About 43,000 across all social media), point being, we're established and we have a solid fanbase! We've literally done it all and we are looking to finally revive this lineup and get back to dropping jaws. We have an insane stage presence and we always get the crowd moving. We know how to work the crowd and we are ready to destroy some live shows. Be sure to check out our facebook for more information about the band and an example of our sound. The new material we are writing will feature a similar style to what we had in the past but improving it and differentiating it... It's really just a bit more Death Metal than Thrash Metal now. We are all 20+ years old so we are looking for musicians at least 18+ with reliable transportation and a source of income for studio rehearsal, band merchandise, marketing and recording. To give you a general idea... Strychnia is MAINLY influenced by a mixture of Death Metal, Thrash Metal, and Black Metal... but also influenced by a variety of other genres of metal/bands.
