I'm a guitar player based in Manchester, NH looking to do some stuff with other musicians in the new england area (Massachusetts and NH, though maybe also Portland, ME area). I have gear, a practice space (or can travel to one), and song ideas in various forms.

Im interested in joining a band already existing that needs a new guitar player, or collaborating with people to start a new band altogether in these areas. For those who want to start something i'm specifically looking for people who play drums, though always open to meeting new bass players, and if vocalists have been in previous bandswith available work, feel free to let me know what you're up to as well if you're interested.

My musical influences are a wide range, so hopefully this helps.

Black Metal (french and finnish scenes)
Experimental or Atmospheric USBM (Weakling, Wolves in the Throne Room, Xasthur, Velvet Cacoon)
Minimalist black metal (ildjarn, bone awl)
Dark Death Metal or death doom (Goatlord, Incantation, Winter, Autopsy)
Scandinanvian Death metal (Sororicide, Purtenance, Entombed, Dismember, Convulse, Demilich)
Speed/Thrash (first two destruction albums and ep, first two kreator, early sodom, sarcofago, first sepultura album, first onslaught album, Exciter, Razor, etc)
Old school traditional metal/nwobhm.
Doom/drone/sludge (Sunn O))), Dystopia, Grief, Noothgrush, Graves at Sea, Asunder)
Grindcore (Napalm Death, SOB, Assuck, Repulsion, Nasum)
Powerviolence (Crossed Out, Infest, Man is the Bastard, Siege)
Crust/D-beat (Anti-cimex, Discharge, Amebix, Hellbastard, Axegrinder, Sacrilege)
Japanese Punk (Disclose, Framtid, D-clone, Confuse, Gauze, Swankys/Gai, Zyanose....new and old crasher/noize punk)

Looking for like minded people to play with.

If your band is already together send me samples and let me know what you're looking for in a member. I can session/live or be a full time member. Currently inactive in other bands and just write music on my own so i don't have as many time constraints and i'm available 6-7 evenings a week.

If you're in a touring band or band trying to tour, i have two or three breaks during the year that last 1-4 weeks, and from mid may until mid august i am also unemployed so my availability in these circumstances is also open.

I've played in a few bands in the past who have played a bunch of shows locally and done weekend tours at the very least, i have worked in labels and ran my own diy distro for a while as far as experience goes.

I'm interested in studio bands/projects and bands with an active show/touring schedule, or plan to eventually.

my previous bands can be heard here:

Just in case you missed it, there are two craigslist ads that may be of interest to you: http://nh.craigslist.org/muc/3610655140.html , http://nh.craigslist.org/muc/3659287656.html.

Also, if I ever get my gear situation together I will be sure to pm you some stuff.

Hey, I'm an aspiring metal vocalist in the Concord area. I have never been in a full out band despite my efforts for years (it's tough to find like-minded metalheads in NH). I don't have any good recordings but I have jammed with a few people in the past. Among the influences you've listed I am extremely into Weakling, Wolves in the Throne Room, Xasthur, Velvet Cacoon, French and Finnish Black Metal, Demilich, Ildjarn, Entombed, Napalm Death, Sunn O))), Amebix and a whole other range of artists in the genres you listed.

I am really just looking to collaborate with anyone with similar music tastes and seeing where it goes. Though I am not as experienced as you may be looking for we definitely share a lot of common tastes. I also have made a few ambient/metal songs if you're interested in giving those a listen. They aren't good by any means haha, but maybe you can get a little sense of some stuff I've created.

Some ambient noodling:

These two have vocals:
My favorite Carcass album is Swansong.
