I live in Marin. People around here should start a black metal band with me.
I dont have a mic or anything (i can get that stuff when i actually get a band together...) but i do like to think im a fairly proficient black metal vocalist
I'd be willing to go pretty much anywhere in marin and sonoma county
maybe SF idk hit me up and we can negotiate.

I'm down for any kind of black metal

black like mayhem, immortal, shining, etc
black/thrash like Skeletonwitch, bathory, etc
or even black/doom/sludge

I recall seeing a poster or two from the Sonoma area on here but aside from that I don't really know of anybody up there. Do you attend shows in SF or Oakland at all? There's no shortage of musicians and black metal's pretty big around here right now. If you're willing to travel a little it shouldn't be too hard to find some like-minded people. Marin seems pretty dead unfortunately. I have a friend who runs a warehouse in San Rafael and does shows on occasion but it always seems like the same 10 or so regulars and a rotating cast of people who will come for their one friends band to play and leave afterwards

Maybe try to contact some of the bands on your peninsula there (Massacration, Death's Eminance, Vivisection if they're still around.) They're both death metal bands (good ones at that) but musicians tend to keep musician friends in my experience. Maybe you'll luck out. Otherwise I can't stress how much easier your search would be if you hung around the scene particularly in Oakland. Good luck, and feel free to PM me if you're ever in town, I go out to a ton of shows around here. Most of the black metal shows that come through are either at the Metro small room or Eli's Mile High Club (best hessian hang out spot in the bay)

I live in the city but spend nearly all my time out in Oakland. The Metro side room is cool but it's a big cement room and consequently always sounds like ass unless there's a completely packed house to stifle the echo.
