Love this statement.

He's so naive and lacks so much self-awareness it hurts.

He's a disgrace to the derivations of my cool name. I'll accept donations if you guys want to keep him around and the highest bidder wins an evening with him.

And yeah, I'll try to take a picture with Neige!

So, how long until we officially change Bathory's name to Batlord? Because honestly, I can find more people who read the logo as the latter than the correct way.

Ah, I remember the first time I had to use that sentence as a non native english speaker. I had to think twice before I decided to use "couldn't". Another classic: "I didn't do nothing."

Yeah but that's a double negative and a whole different ball game. Plus you have a language barrier so you automatically get a pass (for now  ) though I notice most non native english speakers on this board do incredibly well with it so kudos to you guys for that.

SadisticGratification wrote:
Gotta love cultural language differences, "ja hoor" sounds like something we say here in Ireland as well, phonetically that is. "Ya hoor" just an innocent way of saying "you whore" calling someone a "hoor" is not terrible though, calling someone a whore is

henkkjelle wrote:
Anyway, I'm already amused about the fact that you guys have a innocent way of saying "whore" to someone. :-P We Dutch are far to blunt for that. If we say whore, we mean whore. (nothing against whores)

I call my best friend a dirty whore all the time, no offense ever taken. Actually we say far worse things to each other all the time to with out any offense. Also the whole whore thing happens all the time here as well, lots of dumb girls call each other 'whores', 'sluts', and 'bitches' all the time and it's taken as terms of endearment, crazy bitches.

I actually bought a lot of "Batlord" cds on ebay really cheap before, got under the sign the black mark, the return and the debut for less then $10 including shipping due to the sellers misspelling, all old pressings from around 1994 too.

My enlistment ended today, though I signed all the paperwork on Friday. That closes the chapter on the last 7 and a half years of my life. Now I am just doing what I can to get a job in the railroad industry. Have had mostly generic pre-made rejection emails, but one that kinda made me chuckle said I was over-qualified for the position. So the wife and I decided it would be best to move back home and shack up with her folks, until we get a firm job lined up for me and if that doesn't happen then I will be starting college in January.

Pretty terrified as I have been the lead bread-winner in our marriage and feel bad for not having something lined up already. Her folks are being pretty supportive though, and if she goes back to work for the local school district they have said she can stay with them while I move up to KC for college. So now we're going to be moving our two lackadaisical cats and our goofy corgi in with her folks and their two old, senile dogs and my brother-in-law's infant daughter. It should be interesting, and I am hoping amusing in the long run.

Good luck with all of this, mate. Looking for work is a tough job in itself, but hopefully you'll find something soon and get back on the wagon. :)

Question about Undergang that doesn't deserve its own thread: the song lengths on Indhentet af Doden are from the incorrect track breaks from the first CD pressing. Can I change them to what they should be or should I leave it as is?

Me neither, but the early games are fun. Even the first few 3D ones like Sonic Adventure 2 (haven't played the first Sonic Adventure) were fun.

Does anyone remember Kirby Dream Course for SNES? The one that plays like a golf game but Kirby is the ball, and you have to ricochet him off shit, powerups, etc. Man that brings back some memories.

Kirby Pinball? I remember our family renting that along with Mario Kart and Goldeneye the few times a year that we'd rent an N64 because we were too poor to actually buy one. Good times, man, those games were fun!

Edit: I'm a goof and jumped on the nostalgia train before realizing you said SNES. My bad :-P

If someone else hasn't already, you could have a spot of fun planting some choice bites into scenes from Home Alone...

A friend recently introduced me to Pokemon through Pokemon Emerald. Man, I've been hooked on this shit all week.

Edit: Oh, would you look at that. I've been on the board for a year now. Uneventful year... :|

Well I don't know what constitutes as awesome to you but for me there's nothing more thrilling then finding a child alone in the wilderness or stranded at sea then kicking their ass and taking their money.

 sounds like it may have changed a bit over the years. I've never seen Emerald though so, the last time I watched pokemon was about the time they made the first movie. I really should watch some reruns I've been on a huge nostalgia binge lately and this would fit right in.

That wasn't a bad effort at reviving retro 80s cartoons. Still seems like a really good school project as opposed to something pro. Anyway seeing that makes me want to listen to Perturbator.

Perturbator is pretty good but ultimately pales in comparison to the more pro 80's revival stuff like Lazerhawk, Power Glove, Maethelvin and even Futurecop!. Still, it's cool people are getting into this rapidly expanding genre around here. It's been close to my heart for nearly a decade.

So I had a nice sit down today with the director of the rec center where I do work as a mentor and tutor to talk about my internet habits.

So in my downtime before sessions/during slow ones, I'm normally on this site, usually working with easy reports, or updating info for whatever I'm working through at the time. Well, it turns out last week that I spent my time before tutoring looking for some up-to-date info on Grinded Nig, not even thinking how it would look for the young white guy to be searching Google for a white supremacist grindcore band from Texas. I'm sure you can imagine the surprise of the director to find a web history filled with web pages associated with the skinhead/Nazi movements on the computer I had been using at the center. It took a bit of convincing to prove to her I wasn't goose-stepping around town, but she did let it go with the request that I "do research" on my personal internet connection.

I found it laughable, but I guess not everyone is open-minded on that subject.
