It's always the least menacing looking enemies the more dangerous ones...at least...that's what happens in lots of fantasy stuff and video games...fuck it, I need to get out more. Happy birthday by the way and remember that you get drunk faster when eating sweet stuff!

I believe it has to do with how your liver and pancreas work to both break down the sugar and the alcohol hits your bloodstream faster as the result of your organs doing a bit of double duty. Fairly minor affect, but I believe there's a biological mechanism that could explain it. I'm not positive of the mechanics but I think that's how it works. Anyone up for reading Wikipedia on the subject? :P

That sounds logical enough for me. Thanks for the explanation, Zod.

PS: Also, dude, how come your custom title isn't "Kneel before Zod!" or something to that effect? It'd be awesome.

Happy solar orbit day Xlxlx! In Germany you could buy hard liquor now, having trained your liver with beer for two years.

Hey, thanks guys! And Inhumanist; I'm not really big on hard liquor (or alcohol in general, though I do drink). I like the very occassional glass of whiskey, but I'm definitely more of a beer guy. My alcoholic culture is rather limited, as you might imagine :-P

Yeah, me too. The hard stuff only in small doses or diluted if I want to get drunk on it. Beer is always preferred, though.

Well, I actually live in Argentina, but it'd be boring to put that as my location. Plus, Fates Warning reference bonus!

And the drinking age here is 18, though I don't think you'll find anyone who hasn't tasted alcohol here before that age

I was surprised to hear, after turning 21, how many of my friends hadn't tried alcohol at all yet or didn't want to until they turned 21. I didn't have any until I came to college my freshman year, but apparently some people wait even longer than that.

I think the first time I ever got drunk I was 14 or so but definitely no older than 15. I think it just depends on demography more than anything though, I've noticed that kids here in America tend to start quite young with the drinking and other sort of "recreational" activities.

Maybe that would be one of the other gangs. The Greybeards. Napero could be the gang's shaman and jerry-rigged weapon engineer.

When y'all slit each other open West Side Story style, we post-2010ers will be the bystanders, heavily pondering the possibility of showing some civil courage the whole time.

Thinking about it, there better be some radical dance-off-action before the fight.

I see the gangs as having more of an Outsiders feel to them. Side note damn was that not an amazing book?

Nope, MFR's posts doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever haha even if I'm a university student.

Happy birthday xlxlx, I'll eat some chocolate in your honor.

If the MA turns into post-apocalyptic gang warfare, I guarantee I will chase each and everyone not belonging to MY gang with a chainsaw. As far as the extension cord allows, that is.

The bad thing is that here beer is expensive, at least in bars or pubs :( here it cost 2€ per glass and in the shops I can get a sixpack for 3€... Thats why I've been mostly drinking wine (I've been studing abroad in Germany since the february 13)

Ozzy, happy birthday also for you bro!

Is cool to be back!!
