As insane as he is, he isn't exactly a nutjob and can think rationally enough to try and sever anything that could get him in trouble with the law...again.

I just noticed a curious behaviour of one of my nieces. Apparently, if she finds something that isn't technically owned by anybody, wants it but can't obtain it, she thinks that said object shouldn't just be peacefully left in it's place, but should be destroyed instead. Is that normal in a 2 and half year old?

...no.
More like some flowers, papers she finds and likes...she'll most likely drop them on the floor and stomp on them if she can't have them. At least she doesn't bring up too much crap to her home that way, but still, it's intriguing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfe%2B585,_Senior On the topic of names... This makes me think of all those times when a fictional being says their name is unpronounceable by humans.

That name is actually really simple to pronounce if you know German. It isn't made up of random letters or anything, most of it is actual German words crammed together.

Weird. The English translation of the 590 letter name kinda makes sense grammatically, but the German "original" given in the article totally doesn't in the slightest. I first thought it was just random words, but now it kinda looks like the English version came first and was then translated via dictionary by someone who doesn't speak a word German. There aren't even umlauts.

Listening to "Queen of Winter Throned" for nostalgia's sake. It's amazing how many of the older Cradle riffs were basically Maiden on amphetamines.

That's one of the fun things about old Cradle. It's very melodic yet at the same time crazy fast and extreme.

35 C every day would be tolerable just because everything outside wouldnt be dead. Its not the temperature of winter that bothers me, its the fact that everything becomes a mixture of black, brown, gray and white.

hehe, it's coming, it's coming. Chris is recording the new Abominator album at the moment and Sean has joined Whitehorse as well, so it's a bit of a slow period at right now.

Re the cereal bowl - we were using that as one of the enormous 10" blast templates you need for the baneblades. The glasses are subbing in for drop-pods as I dont have 15 of the bastard things haha. anyway, Victory to the imperial guard! As a first-time experiment with Apocalypse, it was a mixed success I think. Playing lengthways down the table was not the best setup. We also needed to take more of the D-weapons and apocalypse formations - turns into a big and slow game of regular 40k otherwise.

Have you seen pictures of Australia in the summertime? all the grass and plants are scorched and dead - everything is a relentless mix of brown and concrete grey.

Forests are pretty damn amazing during the cold season, death can be beautiful too and to appreciate the beauty and the revival of spring and summer, you need to appreciate the harshness that is winter. This is a picture I took when I was in the countryside in December, this is a livid proof that winter can be gorgeous, you can hear the crunches of your boots on the snow and your breath can draw in the air. Yes, it's cold, but your heart can be warm.

Spoiler: show

Oh well, this was pretty pseudo poetic... :oh shit:

Guess what, Tony? Suburban cities dont look pretty like that in the winter. The trees here are just black and dead in the middle of the concrete and dead grass. There are no beautiful snow drifts. Its lame.

I know, I actually live in one eh... The weather is not quite something that's influencing my mood honestly, what would be depressing is no differences between the seasons. Winter can make you appreciate the summer, it's a needed transition period. And anyway, most suburban cities look like shit during summer too, concrete will be always be cold like ice.

You're on a poetic-roll today, Tony. Btw, that pic looked really beautiful, very doom-y. Not sure if I would say the same if I was there IRL with -20C like temperatures though. But with that being said, I would still like to visit and experience that sometime.

-20 is nothing, we got -45 this winter, can't say I enjoyed that very much especially the days I had to walk outside for a while to go to the university.

We can at least count ourselves lucky that we don't live in the prairies. Saskatchewan in the dead of winter: land of the square tires!

Metallica's Orion Music + More festival is going to include some Dubstep artists (two examples are shown in the trailer). That's going to anger most of their fans. Especially the ones that say "Metallica can do whatever they want. They don't give a shit". And it's the same ones that claim that "Dubstep isn't music".

By the way, here's the trailer:

But then again, they are Metallica, and I won't be surprised if they decided to do a collaboration with a Dubstep artist.

I forgot to mention, Death is one of the bands shown with other bands in the trailer.

Yeah, there's another band called Death that predates the one we all know and love. They are not affiliated at all with Chuck Schulinder's Death or the 'Death to All' touring act.

Oh, well the festival won't attract most of their fans anyways, even if there is a band called "Death" that will be playing there.
