I was always amazed at how this picture made real human beings look like characters from a video game. Seriously, just something about the way they're lit and the edges of their hands/faces... They look like they're models from Resi 4.

Can we just settle this once and for all and say Burton C. Bell is the worst metal singer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ8yRn_IBbw#at=223

It seems like the shitty sound mixing at the beginning just threw him off from the very start of the song. His voice is just as strong today as it was on "Soul of a New Machine".

That was pretty bad, but I still say Geoff Tate is worse.

Now come on, he used to be fucking excellent.

I also listened to Jesus Mullet, a band mentioned a page or two ago. They're pretty cool.

Well yeah, I mean his current incarnation. Classic Tate was great, but new Tate is pretty much the worst professional clean singer I've heard on a metal album.

 Not sure if joking. You aware of the 50+ videos of him singing badly on youtube? This isn't a one time thing, he frequently never delivers what his studio counterpart promises.

Edit: Obviously I wasn't talking about his non-singing vocals. You must be oblivious to watch that entire video and overlook that.

Yeah, the image has been stylized a lot. Good effects though.

Hilarious. I like how they've replaced the DRI moshguy with Freddy Krueger.

Musically, they're catchy but you would've heard those crossover/thrashy riffs several times before.

I've seen delusional guys and rip offs plenty, but this is a totally new level of retardness (if such a word exists).

 Wow. I had to stop reading, my sanity was starting to hurt.

While the dialogue - if you can call it that - is hilarious, I'd have been a bit less open to contact with this guy after a few of those messages, and would have deleted/blocked/reported him; he sounds utterly deranged.

Some of you may remember the stuff posted some pages back about my city's crack-smoking, scandal-causing mayor, Rob Ford. Well, the hilarity never stops. Someone just wrote and performed a rock song about him! There's a video, too...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oUx-Q-XD08

Haha I actually think it's a good tune....the lyrics though...I really have no idea how sincere this is but I am going to make everyone listen to this thing!

"The Cost Cowboy" ...?

I think it's funnier if it isn't. The video apparently suggests it might be, though.

Cost Cowboy, Rollback Viceroy!

Just got the new Autopsy and so far so good, really like the opening track. Classic doomy Autopsy, the production is really nice on it too. Modern sounding but not too clean, has a dirty edge to it.

Yeah, "Slaughter at Beast House" is definitely a highlight of the record. i even like the bit where the guitars drop out and it's just doomy drums/bass and vomitous growls for half a minute. Then that creepy broken-sounding lead melody comes in and it's just pure horror!

That and "She is a Funeral" I really liked Macabre Eternal but this definitely tops it, a more pronounced doom influence on this record for sure. "She is a Funeral" has a very "Torn From the Womb" feel to it, a nice blend of of Severed Survival and Mental Funeral. Excellent record, I already had high enough hopes for this record but it's definitely been surpassed.

Yeah, the new Autopsy is awesome! I had only one spin so far, but it left the quite the positive impression.

I'm mildly shocked at the sheer level of back and forth, considering it's all within the space of like 15 minutes. Wouldn't you just, you know, not respond? I could understand the time frame if it was every week or each day at the max, but that it is absurd and it's doubly absurd to reason with such repetitive tripe.

I took my mother into Hot Topic for laughs once, and they had Slayer shirts right next to Justin Bieber shirts. The shirt that has the cover of Nevermind on it was the real eye-opener for her, though.

Nah, she grew up in the Midwest and never had much exposure or interesting in rock or popular music that wasn't country radio. Then again, horrible memory runs in that side of the family, so she could've just forgotten it by then.

I most certainly agree, although unlike the Watain picture, these dudes look like the work of a professional.
