I for one LOVE this band. Very recognizable, and John Fogerty is quite a song-writing machine. I don't really think they have a bad song.
SO what are your favorite songs/albums? I for one would have to say Cosmo's Factory is my favorite album, and my favorite song I suppose would probably have to be the opener Ramble Tamble, but it's hard to choose.

My grandad loves that stuff. It's tolerable, but nothing I'd ever listen too.

"Bad Moon Rising" is a fantastic song, but for the longest time, me and my sister were convinced the chorus line was "There's a bathroom on the right~"

I went to see John Fogerty the past year. He put on an enjoyable show, surprisingly energetic, his voice sounded good, and he played lots of great songs. I recognized many of them but don't really know a lot of the names or what albums they came from, my woman is the big fan. Still, it was a good show and I can definitely get into dad rock like CCR. A few friends and I used to jam on 'Looking out my back door' whenever we'd be hanging out at my place drunk. Sloppy but fun.

Great band. Reading First Blood by David Morrell, got me into them - Run Through The Jungle (very heavy) Fortunate Son, Who'll Stop the Rain ..
Also heard them played alot in that American Vietnam television series, the one like Hill Street Blues but for soldiers, can't remember what it was called.

Up there with Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I'm a huge Creedence fan. Was just bumpin' my Willy and the Poor Boys vinyl earlier this afternoon, in fact. Always gets me in the mood for summer. Creedence are a tradition when my friends and I take road trips camping and the like. Great feel good music.

My dad had a tape of the Chronicle Vol 1 compilation that we wore out in his car when I was a kid. I always wanted to listen to that tape. I got Chronicle Vol 1 and 2 on cd when I was a little bit older, and when I started collecting vinyl they were one of the first bands that I started buying. They had some really great songs, and in such a short period of time.

They have so many singalong jams it is not even funny. They were masters at the craft of pop songwriting and performing. True, their music was just glorified hillbilly jams through loud amplifiers, but damn if they didn't make it groovy. I only listen to them after Lebowski reminds me of them - but they are always fun.

The first physical release I ever bought was a CCR tape at around ten years, and I have been a fan since. Fortunate Son is my favorite. It is to bad about their sordid history though.

This 60's bands like Creedence, Beatles, Doors, Bob dylan and so on always bring me a nostalgic feelling. That's because my dad was really into that stuff, so when I was a kid there were always some of them blasting out of the speakers.

As I grew older I kept listening to some of them and drop others. Creedence was one that I kept on listening. Cosmo's Factory is my favorite, you know, songs like Before You Accuse Me, Around the Bend and so on are really great.

A little bit off topic, but as I grew older, unlike by father, I became more a Stones fan than a Beatles one.

Yep, a fucking great band, classic rock, gives me such a positive feeling to listen to them...

Their best track IMO:

The devils on the loose...

I've always loved John Fogerty's voice, quite gruff with a great tone to it. Good bluesy riffs. Killer band.
