The bassist for Iron Butterfly has passed away. TMZ reports that Lee Dorman, whow as an original member of the group and performed on "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" among many other tracks, was found in his car by officers at around 10 AM this morning. Dorman had a history of heart problems, which reportedly contributed to his retirement.

Law enforcement sources say that there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious about his death.
