Anyone here listen to Oi! ? I always thought there would be some crossover with fans and maybe even some metal skinheads. Am I right? (For anyone who doesn't know, I'm talking about us non-racists, the majority of skins)

I really dig a Polish punk band who are considered Oi!, The Analogs. Really awesome tunes :)

Not really, no.

I have always been more partial to second-wave art fag punk.
I don't like Oi (or first wave stuff, or "Street Punk") very much at all.

That doesn't mean there are no exceptions, it's just far away from being my primary preference.

Personally, no, but the drummer in my band also plays for The Warriors, which is more or less a direct continuation of the legendary (some would say infamous) Oi band The Last Resort. Oi has never really appealled to me, I'm more into early crust, hardcore and post-punk.

I dunno, I grew up around it so it's always been a part of me even though I don't listen to much of it. I used to be all over that stuff like five years ago.

This thread having finally got me round to looking the style up, consequently, I think I do now. Pretty much what I would be into by now if I hadn't been introduced thrash at age 15.

I'm not a skinhead but I like Oi! Probably my favourite album is a A Fistful of 4 Skins, but I also like Red Alert and have recently really gotten into the Violators.

And of course I know the classics like Sham 69, the Cockney Rejects, the Business, etc.

Listened to a lot of it in my teenage years, classic like elf mentioned plus stuff like The Oi Scouts, Anti Heros, Templars, Red Cross etc. Been a LONG time since I've listened to any of that stuff though.

I really love most of the above bands. Perkele are one of my favourites

Combat 77 is nice out of newer bands. Octobre are a nice Oi and Black Metal hybrid
