My dog (on the right) with my parents' dog (on the left, I'm currently dogsitting), sorry for the too-bright flash, not sure how to adjust it on my camera.

Found this yesterday while looking for the metal shirt thread (it had gotten rather buried!) so thought I might as well...

Most recent pic, my bf and me at a goth event (cause we are so goth...). I'm the shorter one with amber hair.
Image

And from about a year ago seeing Marduk, 1349 and Withered. I'm the one with eyes closed XD I was pretty drunk at that point, cause anyone wearing corpse paint got a free drink and I downed mine pretty fast XD

Today, someone on another forum posted this old picture of me cupping my man-tits. I'd totally forgotten about it until now:

Image

Such lovely, full breasts. ;___;
...and a virgin, still-sleeved kutte (sometimes I miss them). and long hair. and really terrible almost-mutton chops. My, how things have changed.

Don't ask me to explain why it was shopped to look like I am holding the word "Hellbastard". The story is way too boring for me to want to spoil the mystery.

If you go to shows in the DC area, you've probably seen my bf cause he goes to a ridiculous number of shows. I'm harder to catch because having a kid limits how often I can get out :(

We weren't at Deathfest this year, though, so you didn't see us there XD That goth thing was actually the weekend of Deathfest :p

It's been a while since I've been to a show in the area, were either of you at the Agalloch show at Empire last summer, or the Korpiklanni/Moonsorrow/Tyr/Metsatoll show last fall (also at Empire)?

Yeah, we both went to the Korpiklaani show. I didn't go to Agalloch; I don't remember if my bf did. I was actually away in New England working on a schooner for all of last summer XD

In spite of the fact that other area venues like the Fillmore and Ram's Head have better sound, I think Empire is my favorite venue for seeing shows. It's cozy, and now they have all those couches in the back room to hang out on (sometimes pass out on >.<) between sets. And some acts actually sound better there - Turisas for instance.

Yeah, those guys did a hell of a job turning Jaxx into Empire. I was at the Agalloch show there, yeah. I haven't been to as many shows this past year as I usually make it to, but I do go to metal shows in the DC/Baltimore area. I'm in Germantown.

I haven't made it to enough shows in the past few months, I'm hoping to make it to see Masakari in DC tomorrow night though.

We should have a DC Metal-Archives meetup at a show one time.

We definitely should :D Black Sabbath? Mayhem Fest? I'm actually most pumped about the Wintersun show in August, but I don't expect many people on this board to agree with me XD

I was a deckhand. Hauling on lines, watching the anchor, telling kids what to do. Although I was lowest on the totem pole, just above the kids :P I still volunteer with another tall ship around here (helping with maintenance and getting to go on day sails and short trips as a reward :D ) but I don't get to do that as often as I'd like.

Cleveland, huh? So you were boating on the Great Lakes then?

I would totally be up for Black Sabbath if I wasn't going to be out of town then. Not really digging the lineup for Mayhem Fest, especially for that price. The next shows I'm gonna try and make are going to be The Osedax (local sludge/doom) at The Lab on July 21st, and then the Anathema/Alcest/Mamiffer show September 13th.

I can see about making it to the Anathema/Alcest/Mamiffer show. Don't know how likely it'll be as I don't have enough of a license yet and my mother isn't too cracked on some of this.
