When I found out William Shatner was Jewish I was like yeah okay, William Shatner is Jewish. When I found out William Shatner was Canadian I was like HOLY FUCK WILLIAM SHATNER?? CANADIAN?? Since then my mental image of Canadians had been shattered forever.

Non-Canadians think we live in igloos and drink Tim Hortons all day long, eh?

No, before the Shatnershock all Canadians wore plaid shirts, had beards and were lumberjacks to me. Not just the men.

Oddly, a Japanese woman once approached me and just assumed I spoke Japanese. This was in Hawaii, mind you, and I was in a convenience store, and she spoke English too.

No, I don't have any trace of a Jamaican accent. I pretty much sound like I'm from Whitesville, North America and little else. Well, maybe a bit gay.

The weeb bit is overstated. Not counting the anime that was on YTV when I was a kid and I thus grew up with, I honestly enjoy all of like... Four animes? And those four are basically all animes that were briefly fads, so people made me watch 'em (One Punch Man, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Kill la Kill and Attack on Titan). I just really like JAPANEEZU METARU, because riffs and gruff vocals.

Maybe I look a bit like a weeb though. Who knows.

Friend from another site, doesn't use MA, met her like a decade ago. She lives in Norway now because Canada wasn't metal enough. Much less of a dork than you. Never heard of Gargoyle.

I hope someone buys poor old tomcat_ha a better camera. Like one with 197 billion by 24 trillion pixels. I mean, it only takes two hours to scroll to the right hand edge of the pics at this puny size. On the other hand, seeing just the inside of a cat's nostril at one screenful is kinda nice, too.

Serbia, and that's Geodetic Technical School, which isn't a very popular choice (unlike gymnasiums), so no wonder it's a bit of a ruin.

Spoiler-tagging each individual pic + the ridiculously large pixellated pics that are annoying to look at even with the tags = NOPE. Gave up after 3 clicks, fuck this :P

Spoiler tags are for consideration of people with smaller monitors, but if your pics are so large that they are double the size of a LARGE monitor you're also doing it wrong. Use IrfanView and mass-resize your shit or something... and for the love of god, use a single spoiler tag to group your pics!

That book looks brand new, which immediately makes me wary. These secret historians are in a not-so-clandestine conspiracy with Barnes & Noble Occult Publishing which was the original model used by the university text book industry racket. I swear the connections are there if you just take the time to look into it yourself. I'll break it down in terms a layman can understand. I'm not trying to be condescending, it's just that a lot of the things that happen don't LOOK like patterns yet, but they are. You get The Secret History of the Reptilians and you expect that to be basically the final word (how much money can one reasonably be expected to invest in the hobby, and besides, you'd think that with this many authors competing for the final word there would eventually be an academic equilibrium). But then the insidious allegiences to questionable truths start cropping up as time passes and new secret history is uncovered through research and then they revise it and you have to get The Secret History of Reptilians, 2nd ed. and so on. It's a fucking scam. How do I know they aren't just making this new shit up to sell more books!? I can't tell anymore. Secret history has been compromised.

Damn you're good! Yes, that is Mirabeau. We were in Greece for a wedding and the groom is from Patras so we stayed there a few days with his family. We also spent a few days in Anavriti with the bride's family, which was very cool.

Both were a bit out of the way, although I enjoyed getting away from the overly-touristy areas and getting some exposure to "real" Greece.

Anavriti is a tiny village up in the mountains near Sparta. Really pretty place, but WAY out of the way so would be very easy to never come across it.

And yes, I ate a whole lot of homemade baklava which was fucking fantastic
