Haha, I love that second photo. I'm imagining you with an Italian accent saying, "ehhh, where's-a mah spaghetti?"

This is me & my younger sister like a week ago.

This is from last December or so (had long hair until late summer though). Apparently I was headbanging, which is a rare occurrence if I'm not drunk, haha

One half of the metal room of my store, Screams From The Gutter Records, when it was alive, circa 2002-2005.
Image

And the other half (yeah, yeah, what's with the Kiss solo albums crawling up the wall? Hey, that's where they fit best cosmetically). Can't seem to find a straight away shot at the moment.
Image

Me in '86 at 16 years old with my silk-screened Slayer shirt a friend at school made a year before, back when Slayer shirts were still kinda scarce. Also my good 'ol grandfather with the watermelon balancing act, my younger brother hittin' up the napkin, and my 'ol man apparently during a serious conversation, probably about fertilizer or how to get patio furniture rust off your concrete deck.
Image

And the one to tie it all together, my first day of 1st grade, 1976, with my Inspector Gadget get-up, gawd awful pink lunchbox, and the billboard on my chest with 'Davey' scratched across it.

Yeah, there's some good stuff up there. Been collecting for quite awhile. Wish I had more angles of the metal room to show it off better. My best stuff isn't in either pic...oh wait, I found something....

Here's a pic from the local newspaper with a halfway decent shot of the metal room from a distance as well as my best metal records, located above the doorway. See if you can make 'em out. The two farthest to the left are a little hazy, but they're Satan's Host "Metal From Hell" and Savatage's "Sirens" with the blue ship cover. To the farthest right is Diamond Head's "Lightning to the Nations" in its 'white album' version that was released by Sounds Magazine in '80.

I am highly envious of that store and it's vinyl stock.

If you don't mind my asking, why'd you close down?

Thank you much, MCH. Closed because of lack of constant business (I had my regulars, but not enough), plus the mark up for new cds isn't too hot. Wholesale for cds on the average was $9.50-$10 and I'd sell them for $14. Better off with used/pre-owned that you can buy for $1 and sell for $6 'cause there's less initial overhead. Vinyl was even better 'cause I'd buy truckloads of it for nearly nuthin' (depending on what it was, of course), but you could sell it for all kinds of prices depending on rarity and condition. For instance, Billy Joel was so average you're not gonna get much more than $2 unless it's like his scarce first lp or some oddball import or something, meanwhile something like Ted Nugent you could sell for more because it's a little harder to come across. Metal usually sold like crazy, especially online as long as it wasn't absolutely basic stuff, but those collections were few and far between.

Good stuff this thread is. Even though the pic threads were steady ages ago, this is the most camaraderie I've seen. To echo what others have said, didn't place the words to faces for some. Can't say any are wondering what I look like since I don't post often enough, ha.

I absolutely love pugs. There is a guy who lives around the corner from me and he has a big dog and a pug and the big dog and the pug are FRIENDS and it melts my heart on a daily basis.

Wish I was allowed pets where I live. :(

I didn't know about pugs until about 4 years ago. Our first one was rescued by a friend from a deplorable situation. Then we got another one from the rescue, which had been tossed out of a moving car by some shithead. That dog was absolutely brilliant. Intelligent, perfectly behaved, sweet...Unfortunately she died after a vet fucked up a routine surgery and collapsed her trachea. The other one was lonely, so we got another pug, as seen on the left in my first picture. She's goofy as hell, but she's a good dog.
Here's me on the couch with all four of our animals.

Unfortunately, no. We did have one that was, but it eventually disintegrated to the point of uselessness. This one came from Target or Bed Bath and Beyond or something. But it is comfortable.

I've had long hair for about 7-8 years so I decided to shave my head the other day and start growing my hair again for no particular reason. The bald head and grey woolly combo makes me look like a mental institution escapee.
