Literally no one at this fest did. None of the vendors, none of the guests, none of the celebrities they brought in. Overall it was a financial failure.
a few vendors packed up on Sat around 3PM and left. That evening a few more stayed till the end of that day and didn't return the next day. A few more closed up early on Sunday. and I started packing up 4 hours before it was supposed to end and by the time I was wheeling out my stuff everyone was breaking down and the fest officially had posted outside the hall they were closed.

It's bad when you have more staff running around than actual people coming to attend.

The boothmates to my left and across from me were great fun. So I met some great people and artists and exchanged info for future projects, got to talk with Lloyd Kaufman a good bit and he commissioned me to paint up the Toxic Avenger. So it wasn't a complete loss to me. But I can't see how they will be able to do anything like this again. Also the management of the fest handled things with the vendors pretty damn poorly

Starting an M-A beauty contest would be pointless because we already know who would sweep the awards. Well, maybe Under_Starmere would snag the Best Dressed subcat. But. IDK. Dat hoodie is pretty swagalicious too.

The underrated poster Rage_W would win the in "most handsome" category. I'll win the "Ron Jeremy/pedo" award since I shaved the beard and kept the stache. It's fucking ugly but each time I look in the mirror, I laugh so it's worth it.

No, no, no, you just said you were looking for their merch stand. Nothing about meeting them, either that or I just tuned it out because I hear JatAO and immediately lost interest. Both are entirely possible.

I remember hearing "Hey you guys know where Jess's merch is?" and I just said "Nah, King's is right there though" then I kept walking. If you mentioned Antti I was already out the door, haha.

Seriously, though, since I cut my hair and finally started to let it grow back out, the bangs in my face are annoying as shit... I wish guys didn't look like total assholes wearing headbands everywhere or else I would. In public, I have to settle for an ill-fitting cap that makes me look like a serial killer with a scraggly mullet poking out the back.

That IS pretty damn awesome, SLK. I met Lloyd Kaufmann myself at the first Canadian screening of Return to Nuke 'Em High about two years back. Dude was SUPER friendly, really funny, and just all around a cool guy. His passion for his work shows no sign of wavering.

Yea I completely got that from him the entire time, his wife was there as well and she was the same. Extremely nice, even with the lack of people and made fun of it.

My wife follows him on instagram and he posted a pic of their table at the fest, far back view to get everything and it was just him sitting there with no one at all around with the caption 'the lines are backing up here at Biloxi Fear Fete'

Haha, when taking self-picture, it is my facial mode. It (my face) automatically shifts to that particular configuration. However, I do believe I have other facial modes too. Like an O face and a grump cat face....etc.
