I think this is going to be interesting when this comes out. Personally my favorite Rush songs are things like "Free Will", "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight", Working Man", and "Fly By Night". That being said it'll be fun to see how this album is, if the whole album is indeed heavy.

I like the music they do, but Geddy's vocals are incredibly terrible and annoying.

Oh no, you did not just say that :o

lol.
Seriously though, i don't think his vocals are as good as they were back in the day. I've recently watched some live DVD footage and the vocals were a shadow of their former self. Still, he was a great vocalist though.

Not that bad that they were a shadow of their former self, but I do agree they were better. It seems vocals get deeper as people age though.

Headlong Flight is awesome. I think the album is going to be yet another great one for them.

A few thoughts after my first listen: It's not quite as good as I thought it might be, but I still liked it. It's a solid album. Caravan, BU2B, The Anarchist, Carnies, Headlong Flight, and The Garden were the standout tracks for me, but some of the others are bound to grow on me. Geddy's voice is still sounding really good too.

I'm enjoying every song after three listens, which is more than I can say for Snakes & Arrows (though I really liked that one as a whole). There's tons of great material here, especially "BU2B", "The Wreckers", and "The Garden." The chorus of the latter is just mindblowing.

After listening to it a few more times, songs like Halo Effect, Seven Cities of Gold, and The Wreckers are growing on me more. I'm especially loving the riffs and melodies going on in Seven Cities of Gold. This will definitely be one of my top albums of the year.

Yeah, the album is very good, only heard it once as I'm waiting to actually buy it this week, but I can already say that's its better than Snakes and Arrows. It has more cohesion between the songs and the songwriting is better. There was some lackluster songs on S&A, I liked the instrumental songs a lot though, but I feel Clockwork Angels is the pinnacle of their modern sound. We'll see, can't wait to buy it.

Hmm, I'm definitely not prepared to call it better than Snakes and Arrows. I'm actually kinda bummed it doesn't have any instrumentals (12 tracks on a Rush album and no instrumentals, WTF?). Still, from my initial listen I really dug it and I'm definitely going to buy it soon. Rush 'til death.

Anyone that bashes Rush hasn't heard "Working Man".

While Working Man is an absurdly awesome song, it's actually not a very 'Rush' song.
