Those huge one's are mainly just there to make people laugh. Nobody actually buys them.

The 7" and 8" ones stay on the shelves, while the 5" and 6" ones fly off the shelves. There you go fellas, some truth to put a smile on your face.

Enough about that, The Meads of Asphodel are awesome.

2 AM, two take home history tests with about half the answers missing from the ancient textbooks. Nah, just a typical Wednesday night.

:grumble: damn 3-4 hour sleep nights. I'm going to be dead by the end of the month.

Alright, enough of my first world problems, here's some death/thrash or something to end my night.

So about a week ago some pieces of shit broke into my car parked out the front of my house. I'm pretty sure they attempted to steal it but couldn't figure it out. Anyway the cunts stole the face off my CD player (Yes just the face not the entire thing) and a CD folder full of burnt cd's.

Who the fuck does that? It's not like they can do anything with the face of my cd player so now I can't listen to anything, absolute cunts. Oh, and the burnt cd's are probably worth like $3, good haul guys, totally worth it.

If your stolen CD-Rs had crappy .mp3 files on them (instead of lossless audio formats such as .wav or .flac) then no big loss (besides the front of your CD player).

Sucks to hear, regardless. Do you have car insurance? If you haven't, installing an alarm in your car would help lots. But I don't know what's going on in your financial situation.

My metal brethren, I am here to warn you that squirts of diarrhea masqueraded as an innocent fart do in fact exist, my soiled pants whirling in the washing machine holds testimony to that. Also, though I was alone, my pride is very affected by that incident. So beware!

Almost sig-worthy. Almost.

Naaaaaaaah I don't think so, I think they targeted my car because of the location and because it's a 90's Magna which is easy as shit to break into, in fact we broke into after it happened to to scope out how they did it and it took us a couple of minutes. The shittiest thing is that I was planning on getting rid of it in the coming months, so I kinda wish they just stole it hahaha.

What!? This sort of thing happens all of the time, and it happens to just about any kind of car in any location where it can be done anonymously. It was just some low-rate douchebags, maybe in their teens, who have no idea how to hotwire a car and can't rob anything worthwhile so they took whatever they could literally rip off as well as CDs which aren't worth any money.

Taking his CDs... I've never known someone who had their car broken into who didn't have their CDs stolen. It's always that and the 10 and 5 cent pieces in the console. Petty fucks.

Yeah, you're probably right. I took a stab in the dark. Still, set up a trap and catch these dirtbags, then type your exploits on here or alternatively engrave it on their backs with a meat cleaver.

Going to see Suffocation, Psycroptic and Nile later. Fucking stoked. Arch Enemy will be there too, but I'm sitting out on them.

Arch Enemy and Psycroptic are both two you want to avoid, Psycroptic can't play any good riffs live at all coupled with their terrible vocalist they got boo'ed off the stage when they opened for Suffocation when I saw them.

Psycroptic's sweep-picking and lead-work in general seemed a bit clumsy when I saw them opening for Origin, although they seemed reasonable enough. I'm not hugely into tech-death (yet) though, so my favourite band that night was the vanilla-death metal "opening" act who played last.

Actually, I do see a lot of car stereo faces at my local op-shop; I don't know which is stranger, the people who bring them in (thinking that the crap is useful somehow) or the people who buy them. Clearly, there's a conspiracy here... Reminds me, though, that some idiots stealing my burnt CDs is partly how I got into metal. I'd bought an Opeth album out of curiosity, but didn't like the growled vocals (which, having never heard anything like it before, scared me - give me a break, I was 15). When that record ended up being the only CD that wasn't stolen - yes, these intelligent thieves neglected to take the one disc that wasn't a copy - I listened to it repeatedly purely because I couldn't face the trip home without music. It only took a few days to grow on me, and a few more to decide that I needed to find more of the same. Not that this has any relevance whatsoever to your theft story - just feeling sentimental.

Well, yes, I was quite pathetic... Give me credit for a quick evolution, though; only a few months later, I was a devoted Obituary fangirl. Ah, the innocence of youth.

If it's gonna have 2 syllables anyway, you might as well call it "deathrash."

No, no, can't call it deathrash, because a deathrash is a very, very different thing.

 The point of my anecdote was recollecting how I first got into metal; Opeth was my 'gateway' band, though I generally abhor them nowadays. We can't all be born badass - some us had to be corrupted first... even if it was by a second-rate Celtic Frost cover.

I have been listening to The Odyssey at work and that album is so dope. "Wicked" has such an awesome chorus.

I don't know why I don't listen to more Symphony X, it's an excellent band. I suppose Romeo's occasional groove metal riff leaves me craving for something different, but the band's strength is in how they manage to create immersive epics out of relatively simple and traditional ingredients. I've always approved of that quality in a band.

Haven't bothered tackling any Symphony X albums as such yet, but I've shuffled random songs the past couple weeks and from what I've heard... yeah, definitely a pretty sweet band, I like'em.
