pbsisbad, you're approaching the limit now. People are obviously poking you with sticks to make you do something stupid, because talking about your antics after you're banned is starting to seem like a funnier idea than everything you're currently providing...

For the record pbisad or whatever the hell your name is, in a couple of years you're going to think back on what you posted here and both laugh and be ashamed at what an idiot you were.

Different note-I really really like Napalm Death's new album and want to start getting into them more. I'm only familiar with their first three, what are the favorites around these parts?

And listen to the new Corrosion Of Conformity you assholes, hasn't even been mentioned around here. http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/#/2

It feels like people "poke sticks" a little to much here from time to time. The poker is no better or worse then the poked, as far as I am concerned.. Can't we all just get along :)

Well phooey to you, then.

Speaking of metal; is there any good power metal from Argentina, that you know of? Just a thought.
Edit - I'm way to lazy/busy to search on my own right now.

It's a good one, ain't it? As far as other stuff of theirs to check out other than their first three, I'd say listen to the Mentally Murdered EP (especially if you dug Harmony Corruption the most out of the first three), and give Utopia Banished a passing glance even though it's a pretty solid album. Then, skip all the way through their mid-late 90s stuff unless you're just super curious (some of the stuff isn't bad, just not really essential listening that you may find to be pretty boring), and listen to everything from Enemy of the Music Business onward.

EDIT: Oh, and check out the Peel Sessions too, if you haven't already.

Yea I know. They just seem to often escalate to a mod warning the new kid on the block. So then it feels more like insulting thru teamwork. Look they've already high-fived! Where does it end? We'll be seeing chest bumps and ass slaps pretty soon.

Oh and I've just seen the 'multi' option in the advanced search. I'm liking it a lot. I have always wanted to choose more then just one country to search through at a time. I'll be using it plenty.

If you like the new one obviously check out Smear Campaign. Their entire discography is worth checking out but some stand outs are Order of the Leech, Mass Appeal Madness EP and The Code Is Red...Long Live the Code.

My god, I love the feeling of relief I get whenever I finally find a piece of information that I've been trying to recall for months. I can finally give "that French woman who makes drone music" a name for the first time in over a year. I can die happy now.

I'm thinking of doing a Funeral/Drone project called Neutronium
I'll probably only do a demo or two though but I'm still not sold on the name, any comments on it?

Since I doubt image and presentation is going to matter much to, well, anyone at all, anywhere, ever, I'd say focus on music first and music later. I'd say it's a neat enough name, but really, I doubt anyone's going to give a damn.

I think the name's fine. Just realize there's 117 other elements that sound cool, too. Well, maybe not all of them :-P

Do not call your band Strontium. In the dutch language "stront" is another word for feces.

That's a great idea. Let's start a right wing grindcore band called Santorum. We will perform wearing nothing but a cut out mask of santorums face, and a blue red white sock around our genitalia. :headbang:

If you really like the newest, you should go get all of the most recent albums, starting with Enemy of the Music Business. They've been putting out killer album after killer album since that one with no sign of slowing down one bit.

You might enjoy Rata Blanca. It's in the vein of Europower, only with tons of Rainbow and Iron Maiden influences, plus some more hard rock oriented stuff. Not the most original band ever, but lots of people like them here in my country. I especially recommend the first two albums, which are their best by far.

Quote:
Here in Moscow I recently received a dark-blue folder dated 1975. It contains one of the most well-buried secrets of Middle Eastern and of US diplomacy. The secret file, written by the Soviet Ambassador in Cairo, Vladimir M. Vinogradov, apparently a draft for a memorandum addressed to the Soviet politbureau, describes the 1973 October War as a collusive enterprise between US, Egyptian and Israeli leaders, orchestrated by Henry Kissinger...

At first, he asks some questions: how the crossing could be a surprise if the Russians evacuated their families a few days before the war? The concentration of the forces was observable and could not escape Israeli attention. Why did the Egyptian forces not proceed after the crossing but stood still? Why did they have no plans for advancing? Why there was a forty km-wide unguarded gap between the 2d and the 3d armies, the gap that invited Sharon’s raid? How could Israeli tanks sneak to the western bank of the Canal? Why did Sadat refuse to stop them? Why were there no reserve forces on the western bank of the Canal?...

Interesting stuff. I hope more journalists and some historians look into this.

I wonder if this is about what really happened in the Yom Kippur War.

This is a rather interesting read, though.

Does anyone else find themselves getting emotionally sad as certain albums end? I have no idea why, but Devourment's Molesting the Decapitated makes me feel really, really bummed whenever I'm listening to the whole thing and the closing track is near its end.

Damn, somehow I knew I shouldn't have taken an interest in what Satanic Warmasters lyrics were, now every time I listen to him its just
NAZI! NAZI! NAZI!
It'll be a long hard journey but... I'll have to get to the point where I don't care eventually.

Hey, Socky, I've been meaning to ask about your location... the endless waste's what? Endless waste's... grand plaza? Palace? Bestest burger place?

I wonder where people got the idea that apostrophes denote plural... never saw that like a year ago, so you wonder why everyone's doing it now.

SW is some really good shit though. I don't really value political opinions of black metal projects. If it's good music, then it is good music.

Except for christian black metal. Fuck that.

You'd think that of all the causes, ignoring the lyrics of Christian black metal would be one of the bigger protests to an artist's intentions.

You could just not listen to Satanic Warmaster. Why force yourself to pretend something doesn't exist that bothers you? It's not like there's only a handful of good black metal bands in the world, you could spend your entire life listening to great black metal bands that don't have something like that that bothers you and have a completely fulfilling life.

All the time you spend listening to Satanic Warmaster is time you could have spent listening to something as good or better that you may or may not know about with the added bonus of it not bothering you with nazistuff.
