Its apparently an actual language spoken on Norfolk Island, off the coast of New Zealand. So its not a joke version of wikipedia. Its just... Bad, is all.

The most amazing part to me is that that phrase contains all the exact same information as the phrase would in proper english, indicating that the speaker has complete understanding of all the concepts being communicated and the ability to communicate them.

An amazingly long and detailed article about the Earth in Norfuk.

These guys seem to be really good at geography: for example, here's an article on "Woshingtun, D.K."

Those Norfolk Wikipedia articles make me seriously think that at the other end it's Jar Jar Binks sitting at a computer foolishly attempting to transcribe material from Encyclopedia Britannica.

Actually that was exactly what was going through my mind when reading that stuff.

This is full of awful points. You're the guy that was still listening to his 8-tracks in 1992.

Are you honestly criticizing him because he uses a format he prefers?

Btw: they still produce and sell CDs in case you weren't aware.

I'm just kidding, of course. My 500 GB external HD was, like, $50. There's really no excuse to not have one and to back up your files as you accumulate them.

No, just the points he uses to back up his opinion. I wouldn't be the first to do it over the last day or so.

That Norfuk wiki... It can't be a serious one, can it? The language is real and all, but why would short sentences warrant a page?

It's still hilarious though.

Yeah, this pisses me the fuck off. Downloading has become significantly more difficult these days, but at least there are still plenty of blogspots for that kind of thing.

Fuck yeah, Jurassic Park! I actually went as Jeff Goldblum from it the other day to a 90s themed party and my lady friend went as Laura Dern. Not a single fucking person guessed what we were dressed as. Goddamn philistines, man.

How did you get your hands on my driver's licence, Tony?

Jurassic Park is a classic, of course. That's how I want my raptors, thank you very much. Nasty and reptilian, not some oversized killer chicken. Seriously, fuck that whole feathered dinosaurs thing, let's stay oldschool. :P

Lost World I enjoyed as well, but it has some really dumb parts. As a dinosaur movie it delivers, naturally. The third one is okay, but seemed superfluous. I could have done without it.

Nice to see that by simply throwing the word DINOSAURS into the thread, the discussion quickly steered away from ice cream. Awesomeness prevails.

How recently did you see the third one, Azmodes? Because seriously, it's fucking awful. I watched it a couple of months back and was amazed at just how much it sucks after I remember thinking it was pretty lame when it first came out.

The first one is naturally the best of them all and a quality film, while the second is entertaining and enjoyable, albeit pretty fucking stupid. I saw the first one at the movies when it came out when I was 4 and it scared the living fuck out of me, despite me being a huge child-dinosaur nerd, along with a couple of other people here, apparently.

The only good thing about the third one is Spinosaurus aegyptiacus. Although it shouldn't have been able to kill a T-rex. The T-rex was a lot heavier built the Spinosaurus. It's also assumed that the Spinosaurus was just a giant fish eater, with very fragile jaws. The T-rex on the other hand was built for taking down large prey, killing them with a well timed, powerfull bite. So it should have been the T-rex cracking the neck of the Spinosaurus, not the other way around.

Well, in a few hours I'm going to see Ereb Altor live. That means I'll have an infinitely better evening than all of you bastards.

Also on the bill: Mael Mórdha, Vortigan & Black Capricorn. :metal:

At the cinema, when it first came out here. When saw it then, I was all "holy shit snacks, another JP movie!!!", so that context has to be considered. I haven't seen it all the way through since. Nowadays, I wouldn't call it "fucking awful", it's just... there, mediocre at best with some clichés and boring plot elements. The best thing was probably the Spinosaurus/T-Rex fight. But I can see why someone would outright hate it. It's a perfectly good waste of Sam Neill, too.

You have no idea how jealous I am :grr:

Speaking of Ereb Altor, is there any news regarding their album that's going to be released this year? Apparently back in January they finished recording it, but there hasn't been any news since.

Boy, I haven't been here in a while! What's everyone up to today?

Finally made two sales in my distro for the first time ever. This obviously makes me incredibly happy. In any case, I think I have to expand a bit.

Also, anyone have any humorous album covers involving Jesus? Something like this:

I have spent almost all day just relaxing and listening to my iTunes on shuffle. Not to mention throwing back a few Lagers. Some times this is just how I like to spend my days off from work. I know its kind of boring, especially for a saturday but every once in a while I like to just relax and catch up on my music collection. Remember bands I forgot about and remember why I ever liked them in the first place. Its almost therapeutic. I never plan my day to do this. I just end up doing it.

Just bought Cannibal Corpse's Torture today. Fucking great album! I think the production is slightly better than usual, with more prominent bass than EP and overall an extremely heavy sound. Favourite songs so far are Demented Aggression, Rabid, Scourge of Iron, and The Strangulation Chair (that bass solo!!!).

Listening to mostly Noise all day has made me feel rather uncomfortable. I should do a "30 days of" documentary type of thing and listen to nothing but Noise for a month straight.
