So it turns out Dino from Dystopia has joined Noothgrush as of this year. I'll definitely be awaiting a new album if that's what they have planned. They already are a great band, but this is just icing on the cake.

In other irrelevant news, going to have the worst exam of my life tomorrow. I had to take poetry as a requirement for English and it's horrible. Not that I inherently have anything against poetry but the teacher is awful and often chooses cheesy love poems. I've talked to some people in higher years, and they've said the exam is almost impossible and many people have failed the course...

Finally, this is awesome, I don't like all of them but this is definitely the best one yet (thanks to Necroticism174 for sharing this on facebook): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kRAKXFrYQ4

You say Deceased, I say Evoken! Been listening over their discography the last week or so and I daresay they've never released anything that sucks. Not even close, really. It all just ranges from good to excellent. Impressive, that sort of consistency. Really glad I decided to revisit Quietus and A Caress of the Void because even if they're not the band's best they're still really fucking good.

Mmm...egg nog isn't half bad with bourbon...

I have 107 Gargoyle plays in less than 3 days, they have a new fan for sure! I need to PM Crick to get the albums I don't have, amazing band. I'll spin the latest Deceased after what I'm listening though to please the Gunther.

Not if you ever go on #metal. Nightgaunt can usually be found there busting out some eldritch raps to the beat of Eric Zahn.

I prefer Esoteric for my doom bands beginning with the letter E, but Evoken is still all rather great. :metal:

Inflammatory video of the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi3qC_zQ4Po

I know it's much more likely he's just some authentic, dopey prog metal nerd... but something about this makes me want to believe he is actually a very advanced troll. The placement of those posters behind him, the general "THIS IS REAL MUSIC AND THIS IS NOT" formula, the insistence that music must be art (i.e. super obvious melodies and pretentiously boring lyrics) instead of just fun entertainment, the fact that those arguments that slam/core fans supposedly use are used by dumb fans of all metal genres... Maybe it's just due to my own musical preferences, but something about saying "Abominable Putridity is garbage, you should listen to REAL METAL like Scar Symmetry and Dark Tranquility instead!" really makes me laugh.

tldr: metal nerd cannot comprehend why people would like music he doesn't

Oho, is that the understated "flep" of a testicle descending that I hear? Nine or ten years at least behind schedule, but "better late than never" as the old saying goes, I suppose. I'm proud of you.

(Listen carefully, everyone, and perhaps you'll be able to hear the sound of the other one dropping as he--quite rightfully!--makes a show of not needing my approval.)

Shamefully, I must admit to never having gotten into Deceased; they are somewhat far down on my 'to listen' list (yes, I have one; I like lists :) ). Their mention here has prompted me to combat my ignorance about them a little sooner... Long story short, which record/song should I start with?

Skipped them when they played here this month, skipped quite a few gigs as I simply can't afford to go to them. Imagine they'd have been really good though.

Man, so far my trip to Reno has been pretty fun but an old friend of mine showed how completely full of shit he is. I was finished with the "one day I like you the next your not allowed in my house" bullshit in high school. Some people just don't get it. The best part? He does more cocaine than anyone I know and is a guidance councellor for drug abuse. What a scumbag.

Lay off man! I didn't ask for shit from other users. I was just asking how to change iTunes to the previous version. I found out that if you go under artists, you can still see album covers and tracks.
